Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Trooper Ralph Charles Tatoian

Today and everyday may the Lord hold you in the palm
of His hand. This day of sentencing will be trying for
friends and family; may God give them strength, peace and
may justice be swift.
Life is a journey through learning stages, we can not look back or measure. We learn through our relationships because that is how we define who we are. Nothing is unforgivable in life. Nursing this hurt holds us back from fully being with others; therefore choose to thank the universe for giving us the opportunity to develop our soul by knowing other people.
Today take all your unhappy memories, pain, anger, resentments and transform them into loving energy. To forgive those around you and ask for divine assistance to hold you in a state of continual forgiveness.

Ralph was a champion of love and happiness. He bloomed beautifully no matter what the weather. This is observed easily in his children; what a magnificent legacy and awe inspiring tribute to his upbringing. Hopefully we can embrace one another in the days and weeks ahead; to continue to mend our broken hearts. Fortunately he will live in our hearts and minds forever.
See ya later Buddy.

On this day before another difficult day. St. Ignatius of Loyola said it best...
Take, O Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory,
my understanding and my will; all that I have and possess.
You have given them to me; to you, O Lord, I restore them.
All things are yours: dispose of them according to your
will. Give me your love and your grace; for this is enough
for me. May the peace of the Lord be with Ralph's friends
and family tomorrow; and may God give them strength each
day to come.

Miss you bro. Were kinda short handed and the past August was busy. We need some help, so how about putting in a good word for us. Anyway, I was just (like I don't always) thinking of you and wish I was emailing or joking with you in person. Watch over all of us.

Ralph
We went to the cemetery today to wish JR happy 6th B'day. I couldn't help but to think of you. You helped John out so much while we were in the hospital. You are always in our thoughts. We love you and the fam!!!

I find it comforting to see how many people loved you. I miss you more each day. Thanks for your love and your sweet smile. Looking at your picture keeps me going. Knowing you will watch over us keeps me hopeful. Love, Mom

Went to another funeral tonight. Another police funeral, way too young. Senseless. Makes me wonder why, all over again. I have to believe that you are there to greet him. You, the last boy scout. Help him to send his family strength and love through such a difficult time. As always we miss you. We will never forget all that you gave, all that you sacrificed. You were always a hero, long before you died.

not a day goes by that I don't think of the moment when I was told that we lost one of our own on that morning. i remember standing in front of the crime scene at mt sterling and how my heart dropped and the anger that i felt when I learned that one of my brothers was taken from us. I think of ralph constantly wishing that he made it out to help myself and my fellow deputies. i am forever grateful for his selflessness. my prayers go out to all of his family and friends.

Ralph, its days like tomorrow I miss you most. The kids start school tomorrow and another chapter in their lives begins. I remember the times we planned for our kids to grow up together and you and I grow old together. What really made me think about it today was the memories of picking your little one up when she was in kindergarten in the Jeep with speakers that rattled the screws out of that thing. Its the simple things in life and the things that most people take for granted when I miss you the most.

Ralph,

This past week I got to be a mentor for your beautiful son Ralph at the 2007 COPS Kids Camp in Wisconsin. You should be very proud of the young man he is growing up to be and the wonderful job your wife is doing raising him. He is one of the most respectful, polite, loving boys I have ever met and it was my privilege to get to spend a week with him. He is a living legacy of yours and God bless him and the rest of your family.

Okay, so here's my thoughts on next weekend. Of course I wish every day that you could be there. I realize that you and I weren't terribly close, but I love you dearly and I know that everyone will be thinking about you and wishing that you were here. I still think about you literally every day and I'm forever sad that I didn't get the chance to get to know you better. So be with us next week, smile and shake your head if we get a little crazy, and someday we'll get together and talk about what a great time it was. Love you.

Hi Ralphie,

Your really in our thoughts more so because you won't be here for the wedding next week but also because of the trial. I look at your picture and still see my little baby cousin as sweet as ever. Your kids are beautiful and I know your proud of them. I know you will be with us on August 4th, but it's not the same. You are so missed.
Smile down on us and keep us strong. We really miss you.

Me, your dad, Ray, and my dad all went fishing this weekend at your dads property. It was a really good time, it was nice to see your dad in such a good mood. Hopefully we are almost finished with all the trial and everything that goes with it, it has been tough on everyone.

Another chapter has closed this week, but it won't bring you back. Keep close watch on all of us Ralphie.
