Thinking of you tonight Sir...like I often do. We wives of officers know your family's loss...and ALL who loved you, and love you still. Every time I drive that stretch of 44, I see your memorial sign and feel that spirit of your sacrifice. I remember those call-outs in the dark...his slipping out quickly and quietly so I won't be awakened...I never let on. Not the time for talk. You guys were FOCUSED. PLANNING. THINKING THROUGH EQUIPMENT. CHECKING THE BELT. Down the stairs and out. Once when an asphalt tank blew here, he was down those stairs and debris was still falling from the explosion. I think of you as you pushed into the night to be with the brothers and whatever lay ahead. I think of their pain as they heard the dispatch...and your sweet family. I thank the Lord, for friends, BackStoppers, and I thank him for the courage and dedication of you and all your brothers...and sisters. May His peace cover them all.

To "Mom."

Mam, I am a complete stranger to you but I am also a mom. The pain of your loss and your loving messages to your son touches my soul and I believe the soul of every mother. Although you reflect upon memories past, I want you to consider that because of dedicated State Troopers who hold the same high levels of standards and contonue to serve honorably like your son, our highways and roadways are safer today. Other State Troopers follow his example os leadership and continue to carry his torch. The next time you travel along a beautiful highway, take comfort in knowing state troopers like your son, continue to make a difference.

Thank you for raising such a fine son. Not everyone meets the standard.

You are forever in my heart and always on my mind.

This was your favorite time of year. You would sit by the tree when you were little and wait until it was time to open gifts with the family on Christmas Eve. Even as you got older and had your own family , the anticipation was overwhelming. I miss your excitement for the little things in life. Remembering your smile as we close out another year without you. I'll always love you. Mom

Happy Birthday Ralph. You brought joy to all who knew you. I will always have the wonderful memories of you while you were here with us. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Wish you could see you nephews and niece. You would be proud. I talk to them about you all the time. Your kids have grown up to be a reflection of you. You could hold you head high . I love and miss you.

Your birthday is another painful reminder of your absence.
You touched so many lives in such a short period of time.
You are missed by so many.

Saw your Mom after all these years. I was finally able to tell her how sad and sorry I was about you. I could hardly speak as my heart poured out my sorrow for your family. I will never forget this day. Till we meet again. Keep watching over your family. Until we all meet again.

Mindy.

Today is the day. I've never written on here, but today it hurts. I know that you were my dads rock. I don't remember you, but I've heard amazing things. Your kids are my best friends. Sam is getting married soon, Ralphie is in the Army and Max is the best little brother. You always had my mom laughing. I can see in her eyes when she talks about you she misses you so much. My dad will talk about what you guys did together and even though he doesn't show feelings you can see it in his eyes that he misses the stuff you guys did. My mom and Deborah will talk about you and I will think what kind of man you were. They laugh and talk like you never left. I really wish I remember you. You have always been in my heart. I don't know a day that I don't think about you or your family. Today it hit me hard. When I thought about you today I started thinking of all the things that my mom has told me and I really wish I could talk to you and we could talk about the things you, my dad, my mom did with all the other Baden kids. I want to thank you for being one of my dads rock and making my mom so happy. I will always take care of Sam, Ralphie, and Max they are like my siblings and I will always be there. But thank you for everything you have ever done for all of us. We all love and miss you.

It's hard to believe God called your name
thirteen years ago...
Our lives stumble on without you,
yet nothing is the same.
We try to hide our heartache
and hope someone speaks your name.
Sad are all the hearts that loved you
as silent tears still fall.
Living without you remains
the hardest part of all.
The sacrifice you made for us
can never be undone, for we all
must take this journey till the
Master's plan is done.
Your heart was kind and true,
when we needed someone we
could always count on you.
The special years will not return,
when we were all together.
But with the love in our hearts
You walk with us forever.

I share with you he agony of your grief,
The anguish of your heart finds echo in my own.
I know I cannot enter all you feel
Nor bear with you the burden of your pain;
I can but offer what my love does give:
The strength of caring,
The warmth of one who seeks to understand
The silent storm-swept barrenness of so great a loss,
This do I in quiet ways,
That on your lonely path
You may not walk alone.

-Howard Thurman in Meditations of the Heart

Thinking of all of you today as always.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart,
and you shall see that in truth you are weeping
for that which has been your delight.

Hi Ralphie,
Today another brother of yours in blue is being buried and its remind us more how senseless losing him and you and at young age is. Both of you defending and doing what you believed in.

I can't tell you how much we all miss you and think of you. I can't still fathom your not here in body and was taken away from us due to senseless violence. We all miss you so much!

Watch over Officer Snyder and help him get through this.

Ralphie, my sweet little cousin, we all so miss you!

Love,
Your cousin

Every year on this date, I remember getting up in the middle of the night to hear the report about you, but at the time I didn't know it was you. I went back to bed and woke up to find out it was you. I cried all day. The next day, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and was in the hospital and unable to attend your funeral but I watched on tv.

On this day, I pray for your family and friends and also take time for extra prayer to all those who serve us.
