Officer Kerbrat - I remember Cardinal Mahoney's words at your service, telling us that "We (the public) have failed you (the LAPD)." Months later they had all changed their minds and we were no longer in favor. You were taken away so young, so vital, so full of promise. Thanks for your service to the people of Los Angeles. Every day since your passing they still suit up and hit the clear button. May God grant you eternal rest and may His pepetual light shine upon you.

Good morning, 19 years ago was the last time I saw you. At first I couldnt believe it was you, pulling up and seeing you there was like a dream. I had forgotten that this morning was your first night on am watch. We all get so busy with our lives...had lots of good times working with you on mid pm watch...remember Bakers Square? Thats gone now too...you know how much I miss you and how bad I still feel. But I;m still around and am hoping to have a 20th anniversary memorial mass for you this time next year...Im sad today like I am on every Feb.11 but someday I;ll see you again friend....

Can't believe it will be 19 years tomorrow. CPA's and those silly pink shirts seem like a 100 years ago. But your never ending smile will shine in our hearts forever.

On the 18th anniversary of Officer Kerbrat's death, we honored his service in our patrol briefing by reading his entry from ODMP. Each day, we honor one fallen officer on the anniversary of their death so as to keep them in our thoughts, and also to remind us of the dangers inherent in our job. Officer Kerbrat is not forgotten.

TINA, ALTHOUGHT I NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET YOU I ALWAYS REFLECT UPON YOU AS I TALKED WITH NEW TRAININGS AND THE PRICE THEY MAY HAVE TO PAY IN ORDER TO SERVE AND PROTECT THE CITIZENS OF THE AIRPORT COMMUNITY. YOUR DEATH WAS NOT IN VAIN AS IT SERVES AS A REMINDER TO THE COMMUNITY THAT THEIR ARE BAD PEOPLE IN THE WORLD AND THAT WE MUST BE VIGILENT AT ALL TIMES WHILE SERVING AS PROTECTORS OF THE PEOPLE.

While still reeling from Randy's murder, I must take time to remember Our Sister, Tina. It is so difficult for me not to cry, everytime I see Tina's smiling photograph. I will go to my grave, remembering how she was always so professional, dedicated, and cheerful at the Academy, even when I was kicking her butt...

My academy class, #11-90 ,dedicated itself to your memory; you were in a senoir class and had just hit patrol .the impact of how cruel and dangerous the job is hit home to all the classmates, male and female.Today ,another L.A. police officer lost his life in the line of duty-I pray that you welcome him "home" and to eternal peace;as for the rest of us,will struggle on with the absurdity of violence in the city of angels.....

Dear Tina,
I was a background investigator when you were being processed for hire by LAPD in about 1989/90. On a day when you were sitting in a hallway outside my office with other prospective candidates, I called out your name, you stood up, smiled, and told me with a laugh that your name was "Curb Rat." I have never forgotten that moment. Rest in peace.
