Reflections for Corrections Officer Manuel Ariza Gonzalez, Jr.

To the family of Officer Gonzales,as you mourn your tremendous loss, there are many members of Manuel's extended CDC and law enforcement family who are mourning alongside you in spirit. Though words may be of little comfort at this time, know that many people care and prayers are being lifted up for God's comfort to guard your hearts and shelter you under His wing.

Let us also remember those who have gone on before and pray for those men and women who still bravely face the "The Toughest Beat in the State."

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how senseless the death of your husband was, an act of violence against him was a random one against your loved one and you. I pray that God will give you His peace and Love to carry you through this difficult time. I will see you in DC!

My heart sank when I logged on to see 6 fallen officers so early in the year. I was even more shocked to see Correctional Officer Gonzalez so brutally murdered. As a former CO myself I have served both sides of the wall and know the dangers all too well. My brother has entered the joy of eternal life. May the Lord comfort your family as they endure this atrocity. God Bless You Bro, rest in peace.
