It breaks my heart driving on the highway and seeing your name beside it. Although a great tribute, it is a constant reminder of the tragic events that took place over 15 years ago.

Thank you for your service, Officer Gonzalez. May you rest in peace.

Within your spirit holds the flame which ignites the torch within my heart. I will tie my boots just like you and continue the fight throughout the night. Rest in peace father. You will always be my hero

Hey "Ganzita." Yes I know you used to get mad when I called you that. It was all in having fun with you my friend. I won't mention the names you used to call me. Hahahha. Hey my friend, today marks our 30th year should we had still been in CDC. Thirty years ago today we were in Galt, California getting yelled at, at the Richard A. McGee training center. Those were fun times. Wherever you are today my friend, enjoy this wonderful day and reminisce our younger years.

Gonzo, it’s coming up on what would have been your 30th year in the Department and probably your retirement. It was a pleasure being your partner at Chino. with toothpick in mouth. I always think about you and your family. You were a great Officer. May you Rest In Peace Brother.

Lord, when it’s time to go inside,
That place of steel and stone.
I pray that you will keep me safe,
So I won’t walk alone.
Help me to do my duty,
Please watch me on my rounds.
Amongst those perilous places
And slamming steel door sounds.
God, Keep my fellow Officers
Well and free from harm.
Let them know I’ll be there too,
Whenever there’s alarm.
Above all when I walk my beat,
No matter where I roam.
Let me go back whence I came,
To family and home.

RIP We have the watch now

Hey Gonzo just wanted to remind you that today, twenty-five years ago, we found ourselves at the Richard A. McGee Correctional training center in Galt. Those were fun times especially because we were so full of youth and enthusiasm. Hard to believe all this time has gone by.

Happy 25th anniversary my friend.

I worked with Manny in 4A3R, Corcoran SHU, 3rd watch, in 9'2 and '93. He was always upbeat, with a great sense of humor, and a pleasure to work with.

I still can hardly believe this happened to my old partner.

Rest in peace Manny. We miss you.

My brother how I miss you so much, not one day goes by that I dont cry for you. Its been 8 years and it seems as if it just happened, That was the worse day of our familes life. Tomorrow they will host the 8th Annual Harley run in your memory. You became a grandfather last year, you have a grandson, you would have been the best grandfather in the world and you were the best father to your 6 kids. This year Jaimez will become a father to a lil girl Brooklny is what they will name her and im so excited I can see my son be as good a father as you were. I miss you so much words can not express it. I will always love and miss you, my life is so incomplete with out you here...Love you always me!

Just want to say i think about you everyday at the unpleasant SH#T hole called work. Your old yard "C". Again i appreciate your partnership and the training you gave me. Take care . D.I. Moreno

Hey my friend Gonzo. Just wanted to say its been twenty-four years since we went to the Academy in Gault. It was November 12, 1988. I was a young 23 year old boy, still scared of what we were getting into. How time flies and at times brings us happiness and others sadness. I remember going to Paso Robles with you the day Roxy was born just to buy some little soldiers.

Thank you for driving me all the way to Fresno after we got off work, from morning watch, so I could get surgery. You waited for me in the waiting room the entire surgery and recovery. All you wanted was a hamburger. Thank you my friend.

I often stop by to view your page I get so choked up I don't know what to say. Battling through these tears reading others messages seeing the impact you left behind and how far it streches. An amazing man to all that knew you even to those who have only heard of you. Snored like a bear and would passout on any couch sitting strait up with a toothpick in your mouth. As tired as you were you always had time for your kids working doubles all the time I still wonder how you did it? I miss you dad and cant wait to see you until then old man ill be right here remembering all those good times we had.
