Reflections for Police Officer Bryan Scott Hurst

Bryan,

As I stood at the bank on Saturday to honor your sacrafice with your family and friends, I could not hold back the tears as the bagpipes began to play. I could not help but look at Malia as she was on Marissa's shoulders. I was just looking at pictures of her over the last 2 years she has been with the other kids at my house. I can't believe how much they have all grown! Her eyes still sparkle, just as yours did. She is such a beautiful little girl and very smart. She brings alot of joy to me. She keeps me on my toes!
God bless you Bryan! I will not forget!

Two years has passed yet the details of your EOW remain etched in my mind as though it were yesterday. Today I celebrate your life and the happiness you brought to so many. Please know that I am sending you my love and that you will always remain in my heart. Your sacrifice heightened my respect for law enforcement. I keep your photo and badge in my car hoping that you will continue to watch over me. You truly are a hero, and will never ever be forgotten. Freckles and Zoe send you a hug too.

Writting from Scottsdale Arizona, I wanted to take the opportunity to remember Bryan, a true hero on this day. May God bless Brian and his family and friends, all police officers.

Bryan-
Tomorrow is the anniversary of your EOW on earth. I think that you are working harder where you are than when you were here. All of us send thoughts and wishes to you and you look down on us and keep us safe. No one that was there that day will ever forget you or the sacrifice you made. You are truly our hero. Time passes and only those of us so close to the situation your family, your friends and us of course feel that time has stopped. Others don't get it! It seems like yesterday. On this anniversary remember that we owe a tremendous debt to you and those you loved - we will always remember my hero. Go Bucks!

Of course being from Michigan, I will overlook the Ohio State jersey you are wearing in your picture, Go Blue, LOL. My heart goes out to your family on the upcoming anniversary of your death. There should be a federal law giving a mandatory death sentence if you kill an officer so that judges can't use their on beliefs to manipulate the law how they see fit.

Bryan...your EOW is the same day as my daughters birthday. I think of you that day as I celebrate her life; knowing yours ended saving the lives of people you swore to protect and serve. You are a hero and I just wish things would have happened differently that day so you could have watched your beautiful daughter grow up. Peace be with you always.
