The South Chicago heights police Department now resides in a new Public Safety Facility at 185 W. Sauk Trail. In honor of the ultimate sacrifice made by Chief Winchell Hills we installed a memorial paver at the site of our flag pole. I would welcome contact with any family members to share memories and/or photos to post in our lobby.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 74th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
