Six years today and it still feels like yesterday. I'm pretty sure everyone feels that way. Miss you and wish you were here with that amazing insight of yours...and smile, of course! Keep watching over all of us....love you, miss you...

Jon, had a dream about you last night and today your patch fell out of my visor so I thought I would leave you a note. I hope your family is doing well and thanks for looking out for all of us. Three years in a row I went to Washington DC for Police week and it's not getting any easier seeing your name on that wall. I miss you and some day I will see you again.

Happy Birthday Jon! Ive been thinking alot about you lately. Just recently someone asked me how Chris and I met and I told them that crazy story of you trying to hook me up with him. I don't tell too many people the story because you passed a few weeks after you introduced us. You kept pushing me to date him and I just wasn't interested. Funny how things work out.Here we are 5 years later and we are planning our wedding. But you can see that, you have been watching over everyone since then...You and I were not as close to one another like others but I never got to tell you that you touched my life and introduced me to a good guy. Despite what others may think, you knew he was a decent person. Just know that you are thought of today on this rainy day. Happy Birthday again...Hollywood.

Jon;

I never thought in my career I would hear another 10-42 call, at least I hoped I never would, I did today. I thought of you and your family. I did not know the officer well, I have only been here 3 months, but if you run into Sgt. Bailey/4852, show him the ropes. Please continue to watch over your JPD brothers and sisters, and of course your family.

Jon,
Mom and I are in Washington DC today waiting to walk our 25 miles for COPS. (Concerns of Police Survivors)Hope you know all your brothers and sisters in blue were very generous to support us so we could come and walk in your honor. Mom and I will stay up late talking and sharing memories but the best part is that we will see you again. Watch over us and our families.
Miss and Love you,
Debbie

Told a great/funny "Walsh" story today to some good friends. Some who knew you and some who only knew of you. Either way had a good laugh and smile thinking of you. Keep watching over us buddy.

The five year anniversary has arrived and I know some will say that it seems like just yesterday you were here but for those that love you I know it has felt like a lifetime since they saw your smile, felt your touch and heard your voice. Continue to watch over all of your loved ones. You have not been forgotten.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

To his loved ones: I share your anquish in losing a beloved family member which I believe is life's greatest sorrow. Time never diminishes love. You are in my heart's embrace today. May God grant you solace.

Rest In Peace, Jon.
