Reflections for Police Officer Jonathan Edward Walsh

8 years is coming up in a few days, I still remember all the conversations with you like it was yesterday. All the fun times we had together and still don't understand why it happened but I know God had a plan for you. Thanks Jon!

Jon,
Soon it will be your anniversary of the day you left the Earth and went to God. I hope that you will always be my guardian angel. You were always a protector. I am praying for you each night. I hope you are happy in heaven with Jesus. Please help me to be successful in teaching Language Arts and AVID this year. Please watch over my family and keep them safe. That is your special Earthly gift. Keep smiling beautiful, blue eyes.

Remember when you were a guest speaker in my first grade classroom, it was so special. I am now having the Mayor of Phoenix come to visit my 7th and 8th grade classroom as a guest speaker. I hope you will be there to support me.
Thanks

Missing You Today with the excitement of Christmas approaching. Wishing my kids knew you better. Remembering the times we had together as kids. My kids love the story of the famous "Im a Pepper" shirt.

Everyday you are in my thoughts Jon. You have been in multiple school projects, mentioned to friends, customized a sweatshirt in your honor, and wear you braclet. You will remain in my thoughts daily thoughout my entire life. I wish I knew you enough that I remembered things about you. From what my dad, Riley, and the rest of your family tells me you were an amazing guy. I know you ment a lot to my dad and we miss u every second of every day and continue to remember you in any way possible. <3

You patroled my kids school area in joliet and they named a street after you. You must be watching over them still since she was protected again when she needed it. I smile and remember picking on you when we were little. (your sister and I) God sure put some "special" into you and left a warm feeling of love/protection to all who knew you!

I told Lisa today that I was in the old BRPD yesterday and there was this strange odor. I hadn't been in that building in months but I immediately thought of all the hard times I gave you while we drove around in the squad about your cologne.

Remembering you today!

7 years ago today my heart went numb for a few moments and then God whispered in my ear and said he is with Me now and I will take extra good care of him. What precious gift of peace and love!

Jon,

I have been thinking about you lately, so I needed to write you a reflection. I lost my mom and I really believe that she is happy with God and you. Please watch over me as I travel to Texas to meet up with my dad. We are going to look at a lot that he bought in 1964. I know you are laughing in heaven. Please keep smiling! Lots of love!

I don't know if earthly birthdays are celebrated in Heaven, but I still celebrate the day you were born little brother. I was on Easter vacation that week and mom let me get up in the middle of the night to give you a bottle. I sat in the crushed orange velour chair (yes it was the 70's) and rocked you to sleep. So today and every day, I hold your memory close in my heart.

Jon, my mom passed away on 2-13-11 from Lymphoma cancer. Maybe you will see her in heaven. I now know the pain of losing someone so very close to me. Please help me to heal. Watch over me with your beautiful blue eyes. I had a dream of you and her a few days ago, so I came to write on your memorial. Thank you.

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part. God has you in his arms, I have you in my heart.
