Sergeant Wheless, today marks the 98th anniversary of your brutal murder and I cannot thank you enough for your service in helping to protect one of America's greatest assets, it's Railroads. We can only hope that your murderer never once tasted freedom again.

You gave your life while in the act of protecting one of the most vital assets of the American economy, especially at the time of your death. The killer who took you from your family has become a footnote and largly forgotten. You, on the other hand are remembered here and honored as a hero.
