Your heroism and service is honored today, the 115th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Detective Owens, on this 112th anniversary of your murder, I only hope that the two responsible for your death actually served that life sentence imposed upon them. You deserved that. Thank you for your service to a vital part of what made America the great nation that it is today, the Railroad.
