Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Christopher Michael Burgert

You will always be in out thoughts and prayers. The hard work and dedication that you gave both your state and country will never be forgotten. We know that you will be watching over us and guiding each one of us in our daily decisions as law enforcement officers. Peace.

I am so saddened by this senseless and sickening act of cowardice. Two fine officers have stood the last roll call. I pray for thier families, friends and collegaues and for this small community. We lost an officer in this manner last year in our small rural county. It cut us all to the bone emotionally.

Two brave officers now walk a beat on Heaven's Streets with St. Michael. I hope that the animals responsible for this horror are brought to swift justice. God Bless and be safe brothers and sisters.

six weeks ago this would have just been another tragedy on the news, but I lost my neice, Offr Jennifer Fettig, to gunfire in the line of duty during a routine traffic stop. Our families thoughts and prayers and very deepest sympathy are with all of the family, friends and fellow officers of deputy sheriff Christopher Burgert. You will be in our thoughts as we continue to deal with our grief. May God bless and watch over all of you.
