Joe,
I can't believe it has been 6 years already! It seems like only yesterday we were running the streets together! I miss you so much. Not a day goes by that we don't think about you or talk about you and your witty antics. The Warrant Unit will NEVER be the same without you. And can you believe they made me a Lieutenant? You always said it would happen one day, and you were right! I am trying my best to be the supervisor you knew I could be. I just wish you were here working side by side with me. I will do my best not to let you down, I will try to make you proud. Just as long as you promise to watch over me from above. I love you Joe, Rest In Peace friend...
My love Always,
Heather

Joe, there has not been a day gone by that I've not thought of you at least once...I am no longer with the Unit but I still remember the wonderful times we had together and the fun laughs we shared and the out of work experiences we challanged together. You where the first one who welcomed me to the Unit when I arrived and treated me like your son. You showed me the ropes and how to stay alive out in the field and I will always remember that forever. There will come a time I will personally Thank You for that. I have also not played a round of golf since you where taken away from us that I don't stand on a far-way and look up to the sky and say Joe, "how would you handle this shot". I want to finish with I miss you dearly your a great friend, listener,my inspiration ,and we will met again and catch up..I miss you pal....

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 5th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. He was also your brother in green as well as in blue, thus I also honor your service to our country as a Marine. Semper Fi.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Gretchen and children: You are all in my heart's embrace today.

Rest In Peace, Joseph.

Sgt. Leclaire, sir thank you for your service and your ultimate price that you paid for us all. As you can see it has been some time since your passing but you haven't been forgotten. I can read the reflections and know that you are missed very dearly and were a great man. I sometimes work arrest warrants in Philadelphia and I had the pleasure to work with the Philadelphia Warrant Squad, I can say they are a great group of
professional guys and I'm sure you had something to do with this. Again thank you for your service, you and your family are in my prayers. God bless you and them all.

Gunny, just thinking of you this month. In fact, was just telling a co worker about you this morning. Told him about you sending me and Mike Bilello to New Orleans for Mardi Gras just before I got out of the Corps. It was going to be cutting it close because I only had a few weeks left before I got out. I wasn't sure I could go. Thanks for talking me into going, it gave me some great (but slightly fuzzy) memories of Mardi Gras. Only got to see you a couple of times after I got back.

I'm proud to have served under you. You were certainly one of the best.

Mrs. LeClaire, I know it doesn't get any easier as time goes on, but I just wanted you to know that he made an impression on many Marines and I'm sure he had the same impact on the officers he served with. I will not forget him.
