Joe was my first partner at the warrant unit. He was tough but fare. A fearless leader who led by example. You became my mentor my father figure but what I'm most proud of is you became my friend. You've taught me so much in the time I got to share with you. Ive tried throughout these 14 years to share your knowledge and teaching with others I hope that ive done you proud. Rest easy my friend you will never be forgotten.

Wow 13 years now and yet it still feels like yesterday. Nathan is getting so very big grandpa Joe you would be so very proud of him. He is a very very smart little boy. And Brandon is getting so smart he wants to be a officer just like his late grandpa. Porsche or grandpa Porsche is such a beautiful little girl. And RJ what can I say about him. He's a spitting image of our late uncle Ricky. You and uncle Ricky keep and eye on all the precious great grandbabies you have now grandpa. I miss you every day and love you

I am proud to say Gunny LeClaire was my Gunny while we were USMC Recruiters in Bucks County, PA. Almost 20 years later we met just before his death, while I worked with the Marshals Service when Joe was with 1st District Warrants. It's great that your sacrifice has not been forgotten by your fellow officers and the City. Peace and Semper Fi.

Gretchen, I had previously left a reflection and wanted to again honor Joe's service and sacrificce on this 8th anniversary. I was so sorry to learn that you had lost your son and I know this tremendous loss has also exacerbated your grief for Joe. You are in my thoughts and prayers today.

When we lose a brother or sister in arms it breaks our hearts…but we are not disheartened. The loss is always tragic and we are saddened, but our resolve is not shaken. In truth our resolve is strengthened and we remain more dedicated than ever to the cause.

We stand more steadfast than before between the good and those who seek to commit acts of evil. The memory of those we have lost pushes us to ensure that those who have made the ultimate sacrifice will not have done so in vain. We will face that which causes fear and will not be deterred. We will not allow evil to move us off the path of righteousness but will meet evil head on…and defeat it.

Those we have lost are not gone, as we take them with us to continue the fight. And continue to fight we will…until there is no strength left in our bodies and our final breath is gone. We will do our duty, meet the challenge and overcome. As it has been said, “The only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing”. There will always be those of us who refuse to do nothing. Those who lead the way and give others the strength needed to stand up for what is right…

Semper Fi Gunny, You won't be forgotten

I remember the "Love - Hate" relatonship that we had for one another...lol; especially you being a Marine and me being an Army Soldier....lol. I remember us being a 2-Man team for a while working in the East and I hated it....lol. But through it all, I would not change any of it for the world. You were the best partner and mentor there ever was and will be. I remember when you got promoted and left me behind as Team Leader and I tried to Lead the same way you did; with confidence and respect!

Now I'm a Sergeant on the job and I'd like to say thank you for your training expertise, the memories, etc..... We miss you Silver Fox.
