Me and the guys used to say that the L.A.P.D were "the few, the proud, the insane".I myself could not think of a more heroic group of police officers in the world. you do a job few want and get paid little for it, only a hero such as yourself could take up the good fight and support your brothers and sisters on the thin blue line. i salute you for your bravery, courage, and your willingness to aid a stranger. I can only hope you will watch over me as i start my career as a police officer in texas. god bless you and your family, i will always honor you as a fallen hero, and pray for you and your family, rest in peace my brother it's time for you to go 10-34 off duty.

There are very few peaople that touch lives every day. You are one of those people. I can' put into words how much I miss you. I know that you are watching over me and my kids. If anything good has come out of this is that I feel a lot closer to your family, especially your bro. I will try to look after them the way you did. Just remember one thing, ROLL DAWGS FOREVER and 65 will always and forever be a classic! Peace out bro.

Hard to believe but it's been one year now, seems like yesterday though. I remember the last time we spoke, it was Thursday morning 2/19/04. We were trying to figure out who was going to pick up my dad and Laura from the airport. I almost called you on 2/20/04, I was going to ask you to meet me and some friends at Pacos to celebrate my birthday, I figured you would be working. I've had some unbelieveable dreams about you, they seem so real, maybe in a way they were real. I finally traveled again last November. I hadn't traveled overseas since you passed. I figured it was time, I was in 5 countries in 15 days, the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Italy, and Germany, the crazy thing is you were there with me! I could feel your presence! What happens overseas stays overseas, ok!! It's incredible how much you are thought of, how much you are missed, you are everywhere bro! You are all over the LAPD, Newton is your station now! More importantly you are in everyone's hearts and thoughts. It's amazing, you did it the right way, you knew how to live.

It really sucks not having a big brother around anymore. Remember how I use to follow you around since we were little kids? Remember we use to watch wrestling and then wrestle ourselves..you slammed me and broke my wrist! Remember when we use to ride our bikes to little league at Babe Ruth? When I was 13 I rode up alone on your bike and some kids took it from! It was your bike though!! Remember the one on one games at Rancho, then going home to change shirts and hit Ballys afterwards, how about your bachelor party in Vegas?!! You took a shot!! You never drink!! I was your best man at your wedding!! Those were the days....

To my friend and partner, Liz I miss you very much. I know that you watch over us everyday, and we all think of you everyday. We often talk about how you would make us laugh. You know how much I wish we could change things on that day. Until I see you again my friend. I remember one of your sayings that help me on those tough days,
" Stay Up Bro".

tomorrow is the day. that day (02/20/04) was the start of the worst year of my life. i looked forward to 02/20/05 as a chance to begin again, as the first year was over.

last night showed me that time does not heal wounds. i had your call. not a duplicate, but a b.s. "ROUTINE" call (507 Radio). why i heard the round chambered and my partner did not...who knows. we got the drop, and he dropped the gun.

Liz, i don't know what happened 364 days ago; i just wish you had gotten the drop on that guy...

tomorrow i will not be releived that a year has passed and i (among others) can begin remebering, rather mourning.

Because it starts now...BACK YOUR FELLOW OFFICERS till they they have to switch watches to avoid seeing you.

thanks to all that came to our help call last night.

it will be at least one more watch till you see me, Jizz!

We all come to this page because we are part of one big family - a family that loves together, prays together and grieves together.

Our son recently lost his partner, and until that fateful day, we were not aware of this site. Now we check it daily. We want you to know that our prayers and thoughts are for you and your loved ones. We grieve over the lives lost in the line of duty. I hope you can find some comfort knowing that there are countless prayers going out for your family.

God bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great nation. Here is a special prayer for you.

Give eternal rest to them, O Lord,
Whose souls have taken flight.
And lead them to a better world
Where there is peace and light.
Grant them eternal freedom
From conflict, war, and care,
And fulfill for them Thy prophecy
There shall be no night there.

Pray for us from above. We love you, son.
