Officer Fettig, I can’t remember how I came across you’re story but in reading the many reflections left in your memory it was clear you were loved and and respected by many family members, friends and coworkers. Along with them, I thank you for your service and sacrifice and will never forget your beautiful smile. Godspeed angel.

It's hard to believe that you've been gone 15 years already. Sometimes it seems so long ago and other times it seems like yesterday. You're always on my mind and forever in my heart. Miss you always, love you forever, until we meet again. May you rest in peace wrapped in the arms of the angels in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with all who are missing you.

Shouting past the moon and stars knowing you can hear me afar sending Happy Birthday wishes to one of heaven's prettiest angels my niece Jenny. If you were still walking here on earth today would be your 39th birthday instead you're forever 26. Thinking of you and your parents today, as it's your dad's birthday too and it's another one he can't spend with you. Love and miss you lots. xoxoxoxoxo

Ofc. Fettig, words cannot describe our gratitude for your bravery and service. I still remember this awful incident as you and Ofc. Bowens served and sacrificed everything in the same precinct where my own father and his partner served and sacrificed everything 33 years earlier. You are sorely missed and will always be remembered.

I miss never having the opportunity to get to know you as much as I should have. I miss never having the opportunity to do things with you. I wonder what things would be like if you were still here. I'll be graduating from high school next year and you should be here. So many things have happened since you've been gone. I think of you a lot. I love and miss you.

I was assigned to the Detroit Field Office at the time of this senseless shooting. A brother and sister in blue that didn't get to go home to their families that day. May we never forget their sacrifice. God Bless the families.
