Your heroism and service is honored today, the 70th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be remembered and revered.

Rest In Peace

Sheriff Head,

Police Officer Robert (Bobby) Kozminski of the Grand Rapids Police Department, Michigan died today under very similar circumstances as you. He was responding to a call for a domestic issue, and like you was ambushed by the suspect. It is ironic that after reading about Officer Kozminski here, your bio pops up. By now I'm sure you have taken this young police officer under your wing. God bless you and your family. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
