Leave a Reflection

Reflections for City Marshal John H. Spalding

He is the great grandfather of the man who wrote/directed the movie "Places in the Heart". The slain Sherriff Spalding on that film were based on him (although the time period in the film is different)

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 129th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. I am honored to be the second, but hopefully not the last to leave a reflection here. I know you are keeping watch over those of us that continue on.... To make this world a better place.

Officer

No officer should be without a reflection and it is my honor to be the first. He is not forgotten. I thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made while serving his fellow man. God's blessings upon his descedants.
