Reflections for Police Officer Clinton Earl Walker

To Mrs. Walker, her family, friends and brother officers my deepest sympathies are with all of you. From personal experience I know this to be a very difficult time for all of you, a time you'll never forget. We are one, all members of the thin blue line, and as such I mourn with you. Let's not forget the officers involved in this tragedy and support them as they will have an added burden. God Bless all of you in your time of sadness, we all stand with you shedding tears of sorrow and uplifting you in prayer.

Just two days after this incident, and the responses here are overwhelming. Mrs. Walker, I do not know you. I did not know your husband. But I work in the community of Prattville and I have had to report on this horrific tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with you. They are also with the other officer involved. I have lived through the death of four of my friends who were police officers. But know that the community, and the extended police officer community, is praying for you and supporting you. God bless you and your family.

I am sorry to hear that another officer has lost their life. most people would tell you that law enforcement is a dangerous job. i never listened. I was always afriad when there was a domestic call or when i heard dispatch say use caution with someone. My husband was a little man but his size never mattered to him. He wanted to be a policeman, he wanted to make the small town we lived in a safe place for everyone. i never thought that directing traffic would be the worst thing that he could do. I just want to say to all the officers that read this "To be careful out there and watch out for other drivers and be careful so you can go home to your family" GOD BLESS

What a tragic loss for this community. I don't know if we'll ever know why we had to lose you so soon. Please watch over us as we carry on your work.

Everytime I see an incident like this I think not only of the Officer who lost his life but also of the Officer that was holding the weapon that caused the tragedy. It has to be a very difficult thing to deal w/ even though everyone knows it was a tragic accident. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and department of Officer Walker as well as the other Officer involved in this incident. May God be with you in this difficult time...and please take advantage of any and all help that is offered to you. God Bless You.

Clint,
I was training with some of your friends and fellow officers from your county just after the incident occurred. They couldn't help but talk about how you were one of the go getters. The City of Prattville has lost a good officer. Rest now WARRIOR...never to be forgotten! A TRUE HERO!!!

Clint,
I wish you were here to see how many friends you really have. You'd be proud to know that everyone that mentions you refers to you as "a good cop" and "a hard worker", because all of us here know that's all you ever wanted to be. You were a great person and a good friend. We miss you already.....
