I HAD THE PRIVLEDGE OF WORKING WITH NIK FOR 5 YEARS. DURING THAT TIME WE ANSWERED MANY CALLS TOGETHER, HAD MANY LAUGHS TOGETHER, AND CRIED MANY TIME TOGETHER. TODAY I CRY WITH OTHER FELLOW OFFICERS JUST AS I HAVE BEEN CRYING SINCE I WAS DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE. ALL OF THE OFFICERS HERE IN THE TILLMAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ARE DEVISTATED BY THE LOSS OF NIK, AND WILL NEVER FORGET HIS UPBEAT ATTITUDE AND HIS WILLINGNESS TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE. MAY GOD BE WITH LINDA AND THE GIRLS, AND MAY MY FELLOW OFFICER, BROTHER, AND MOST OF ALL MY FRIEND "REST IN PEACE" I LOVE YOU BROTHER.

The bible tells us in Romans chapter 5 verse 1-5 ,the law of the land is establish By God all Mighty and he appoints servants to do his will. Trooper Nikky J. Green was that servant. But now he is a greater servant he is in the presence of God. Our prayers and thoughts to his family especially his wife we might not know your grief but we are in sorrow with you. For those who love God love righteousness and those who love righteousness love Trooper Nikky J. Green even though some never met him!

Having the opportunity to grow up with the Green family, I feel as if I have lost one of my own family members. This is a great loss not only for the Green's but also the community and Trooper Greens comrads. Everytime that I talk about my childhood memories and experiences I always think about the roadtrips to different cities to play baseball. My heart goes out to the Green's. It goes without saying, we will all miss Nik greatly.

If I can do anything please contact me..... I'm here for you..

May God Bless your family in this tragic time. I thank you Trooper Green for protecting us here in Oklahoma and I pray for your wife and daughters.
A pastor at my step sons services told a story of how when you walk into your garden you take the flower that is the best flower there and dont ask the other flowers if you may take it, God also wants the best flowers in his garden in heaven and he doesn't ask us if he may take our best flowers and one day we will see just how wonderful it is in heaven.
This has helped some thinking that we had one of the best flowers on earth and now God wanted him for his garden I just hope it helps your family knowing that you had one of the best flowers as well.

I had the privledge of knowing Nik Green and his family. We not only lost a prime example of what an law enforcement officer should be and stand for. We all lost a good friend, an inspiration to all that came to know him. Nik was devoted to his family and his God. Our prayers are with his family, and with his brothers and sisters in all of law enforcement. May God bless Nik and help his family through the difficult and trying days ahead.

you will truly be missed "nik" by everyone who knew you and never got to know you and the times that i got to work with you i saw a person who was a professional to the fullest and was always on top of every situation that he came in contact with. it is so sad that some unknown lowlife had to take you away from your wife and kids. I pray for your family and your friends there were many of them that peace will come down and fill each of there hearts to lighten the burden that each one of them bear now. GOD will take care of the cowardly and foolish one who took you from your loved ones. GOD BLESS YOU MRS. GREEN AND YOUR CHILDREN

Soverign in my life
In slumber or in battle

My wife has had 2 miscarriages in the last 3 years......

As I was saying prayers with my wife and 5 year old son tonight, I prayed for Trooper Green's family, co-workers, friends, and youth group. I began to cry and could npt finish the prayer. My son asked why I "had tears" & I told him that a very brave christian man had been shot with a gun and killed by a very bad man. To which my 5 year old son replied, "It's OK daddy - he's in heaven protecting mommy's babies now"

How in the world can children be so smart?
But it is so very true Mrs. Green - Nikky is up there now in heaven - protecting my babies - just as he protected so many here on earth.

God bless you and your beautiful children.

A COP ON THE TAKE

First he takes the oath.
Now look at all he takes---

He takes it in stride when people call him a pig.
He takes time to stop and talk to children.
He takes your verbal abuse while giving you a ticket that you deserve...
He takes on creeps that you would be afraid to even look at.

He takes time away from his family to keep you safe.
He takes your injured children to the hospital.
He takes the graveyard shift without complaint because it's his turn.
He takes his life into his hands daily.

He takes you home when your car breaks down.
He takes time to explain why both of your headlights have to work.
He takes the job that no one else wants---
telling you that a loved one has died.

He takes criminals to jail.
He takes in sights that would make you cry.
Sometimes he cries too, but he takes it anyway because someone has to.

If he is lucky, he takes a retirement.
He takes memories to bed each night,
that you couldn't bear for one day!
Sometimes he takes a bullet.
And yes, occasionally he takes a free cup of coffee.
Then one day he pays for all he has taken...

GOD takes him!

As an officer myself, I’m deeply troubled by the loss of Trooper Nikky J. Green. My family’s thoughts and prayers are with Trooper Green’s family, friends and co-workers each and every day. May God watch over them and comfort them. I truly regret never having the opportunity and pleasure of meeting Trooper Green. I know now in my heart that if I would have had that change, I would have admired and loved him as much as everyone else did. May the Lord lift up our hearts and bless us all in this time of tragedy.
