Please remember the fallen officers we have lost. Remember the men and women who died trying to make this world a safer and better place for us all to live in. Thank you Reserve Offficer Simpson for a job well done. Please continue to watch over us and protect us as only you can. You will forever be at our side and in our hearts.

For those of you who still have loved ones with us please take the time to tell them how much you appreciate and care about them.

IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.

Rest in peace, you served us well. Officer Simpson has left a great legacy because of his service and it cannot be matched. It takes an incredible hero to serve as both a police officer and firefighter in a lifetime. God bless his family, they are in my thougths and prayers this holiday season.

I am so sorry for your loss. I do know that the only thing that kept me going is my relationship with Jesus. When you understand His Word and you have asked Him into your heart you understand death and you are able to be at peace with your own mortality.Jesus says in His Word that one must be born again to see the kingdom of God.We must get right with Him to be at peace. My prayer is that you get right with Him.Morris would want all you fellow law enforcement guys to get right with Our Saviour. In His Love,Margaret Taylor

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Officer Simpson, truly another "Hero" lost in the line of duty. Lost while trying to save the life of another, a child. You are a true hero and are right now walking the streets of glory. May your family have some comfort knowing that you are truly a hero now walking a new beat on the streets of glory. Watching over them from there now. Always with them but walking alongside the good Lord up above. You did your job well here on earth and now it is time for you to do with God. You "ARE" a hero lost to those left here on earth, but walking with the Lord.
My condolences to your family and friends left behind

May GOD sooth the souls of your loved ones Ofc. Simpson. As a friend and co-worker of Deputy Morris Taylor (#108 deceased) of the Douglas County S.O. I can tell you that your Brothers in L.E. will never forget the sacrifices you have made for your community and country.

To the family of Ofc. Simpson:
I know your pain. I live it daily. Rest easy in the comfort, promised by GOD, that Russell is pain free and is waiting for us to join him in eternity.

I have few regrets in life. But of some those are that I live with are these memories:

I never told Morris how much I appreciated his friendship or how I cherished his insight in the gospel and life in general.

I never told Margaret of the special relationship I shared with her husband. He helped change my life's priorities and I am forever indebted.

Morris: I hope your wings fit you well. I look forward to meeting you again; walking the streets of God’s beat!

Please: Be sure to take a moment; every single day, to tell at least one person in your life how much you appreciate and/or love them. For we never know when we may lose them.

I do not speak for the Douglas County Sheriffs' Office as a whole to the family of Ofc. Simpson:

But from myself, my family and on behalf of some fellow Deputies serving in the Reedsport Sub-station:

Our deepest sympathies for your loss.

Rest in peace Officer Simpson. We shall carry on the watch and will meet in the presence of GOD.

Thank You for your sacrifice. You are the definition of the word "Servant". To your country, family and GOD.

Rest easy now my brother. Your good work here on earth is done. You have served us all proudly. You will be greatly missed!

Deputy Chris Noffsinger and family.
