Well Russ, I am now living in Texas. Couldn't stay in Bandon anymore. Like I told you guys, I am not leaving you. You are always with me. I am living on a lake that supposedly has some big bass in it. Brother you should be here with me. Say hi to Mom and Dad for me. Hug Cossak and Rex . I miss you guys.

Saw a video of someone making French Onion soup with a significant cheese pull on top - made me think of you and how much you enjoyed that soup when we'd go out to lunch at Boatwork's when it was on the jetty -same jetty where you lost your life while selflessly saving another. Don't forget to give Carl a hug and throw Dozer a ball for me. Bear hugs-

Still thinking of you Bro, Mom is 88 years old and still hanging in there. Still have the gun shop, you would love it. We were supposed to get old and fat together and spend our time fishing, I am getting the old and fat part down, haven't got the fishing part down yet. Say hi to Dad and Rex for me.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 8th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Eight years ago today started out like any other work day....and then I watched my good friend/co-worker/partner in laughs and mischief leave this Earth while trying to save the life of another. Miss you dear friend Russ, every day and always. Throw Dozer the ball for me and give Carl a hug.

Never forgotten my dear sir... My fondest memory is of you patting me on the back to make sure I wore my body armor that day... I never had to ask why you did it... It was part of the non verbal code for watching out for each other that you were one of the best examples of I have met in my time... Thank you for your contribution, your sacrifice and your good example... A true inspiration...

7 years and not a day goes by that you are not thought of with fond memories. The thought of you brings smiles to people you don't even know you touched.

I pray for your family....Until they can see you again...
