Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Corporal Thomas Roberts

An Angel sat by an empty tomb one day and told two women there was hope for a new life. It's never too late to begin again. I wander...you are loved, missed and always remembered. There will never be any understanding of the hatred that consumes so many in this level of life. Continue to stand by and watch over your fellow brothers in blue. I surely believe you continue to walk among us. Your dear friend Jerry missed you and cared for all you left behind,he visited you often in front at the Memorial and at your grave. I know he has spent alot of time with you now that you are together. God has three wonderful men walking his streets of gold. It is a struggle to continue but as each of you always said in different ways. Life is for the living. Each day is a gift. Then we are given a greater gift the one of eternal life with all of you. That is something to look forward to. One day...Love never dies. F.A.A.D.

It's hard to believe that it has almost been three years. I often look at this page as my eyes fill with tears. So many times I have come to leave a message, but can never finish so this time I will try. I've read about how you were such a huge Notre Damn fan so I hope you enjoy the Sugar Bowl!

I did not know you personally, but I did go to school with your daughters. They were beautiful and respectful young ladies and I'm sure they learned all of that from their wonderful father. I pass by the Mishawaka Police Department every day as I live only a few blocks away and each time that we pass, my daughter and I say a prayer. We pray for your family and most of all your girls. Your legacy will always live on! Thank you for protecting all of us.

With love,
DH

Go Irish! Beat Trojans!

November 20, 2006

Tom, This saturday wili mark the end of the last Irish home game. I cant believe that this season has gone by so quickly. Let wish them the best of the luck. In another month will mark the 3rd year you were taken from us. I still cant believe that you are gone. There are so many that miss you and Bryan that they can't even talk about it. I always see on both of your reflections how the moral at the PD is so low and crapy, wow what a shame. It shouldn't have to be that way. I guess that people make the choices that they do and live with it.Well until next time lets go IRISH
Love ya & miss ya

Tom,
Once again the Luck Of The Irish was with Notre Dame on Saturday. What a game, I hope you enjoyed it, you do have the best seat in the house. All of us wish you were here to talk to. So much is not going right around here. The MPD is not the same like it was with you around. People are different, they dont care. We all were so close for a short time after you and Bryan left, now things are only worst and getting worst everyday. You dont even know who your friends are anymore. I wish you were here to talk to I know you would understand and have some good advise. It is hard not to care but I dont want to go to another funeral just because people dont care. I miss you and the talks we had. Thanks for still caring.

A TRUE FRIEND

October 23, 2006

Tom,
I think the Irish had a little help from you on that game
yesterday. Way to go. We also need you help with all
the happenings going on at the MPD. Moral is so low and
you would not even believe what is going on. You would be
having a fit about now. Wish you were here to guide us
thru the turmoil. Please pray for everyone, we all need
your help.

Tom, Above you have witnessed much deception against your family and friends. Down here, some still don't know the truth. But what is right is beginning to come to the surface and will prevail, and all that you left behind will end up in the appropriate places - in the hands and hearts of those who truly love you. Our daughter Holly was a beautiful bride and has a terrific husband. I know you were watching. Your wonderful sisters are your deciples looking out for Lindsay and Holly ,so rest in peace Tom.

May 24, 2006

You were featured on the honor banner of this site and I wanted to stop as say that you are a true hero and will never be forgotten. So many dreams were shattered when your tour of duty ended and left your loved ones behind. Keep watch over them and protect them from harm. Visit them in their dreams so they know you are in their hearts and watching over them.
