Reflections for Trooper Tony Michael Lumley

Brother, It has been a tough week. Hard to believe it has been 4 yrs. I went to the Christmas Party last night and saw some of the guys and girls. Corbett, Stone,Mimbs,McMillan,Boyd just to name a few. We shared some funny moments remembering you and the things you did and said. It really helps to cope with this time of year. I Love and miss you everyday.

It's hard to beleive four years have passed. So many things have change. I think of you often and I know you watch us everyday. It's my prayer that the Lord will keep your girls and family always. I know in my heart we will meet again one day.

With much love,
James

My thoughts are with all of your loved ones and close friends on this 4th anniversary of your EOW. I've deocrated the outside of my home in all blue lights for Christmas, one of those lights will be lit in your honor every night until New Years as my way of saying you are a true hero and have not been forgotten. Continue to keep watch over your loved ones.

Tony, It is hard to believe that Nikki is 13. Wish you were
here to guide her. It has been so hard for Nikki & Brooke.
They are very pretty girls. We all miss you so much. It is really hard on birthday`s & holidays. It is almost time for
another memorial ride. It is good to see everyone that cares so much for you. Love you & miss you everyday.

Tony,
I was just thinking about the time you and I were sitting on 19/41 when you called 593 and convinced him you were his "alternative" secret admirer and the fact that he fell for it. It still gives me a good laugh.

Tony, just thinking about you brother and I miss you everyday. I went to a Blue Knights meeting the other night for preparation for you ride on May 19th, 2007. It will be the 4th annual, seems unreal but I look forward to this every year, to be able to see all the people that show up to laugh and joke and pay tribute to you is wonderful. Just a note to the Griffin Police Officer that told the ambulance story, that brings back memories, I remember Tony telling me that story along with all his demonstration of how it actually went down, that's funny. Thanks for the story. Tim Lumley

TONY,

THE GUYS AND I WENT TO EAT AT EL CHARRO'S THE OTHER DAY AND I SAW YOUR PHOTO HANGING OVER THE COUNTER. IT REMINDED ME OF THAT NIGHT ON THE I-75 SB MILE MARKER 203 WHEN I REQUESTED A TROOPER TO WORK A MINNOR 10-50. THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I MEET YOU. YOU AND MAC SHOWED UP AND THE PERP WHO WAS AT FAULT WAS HIGH ON PCP. THAT BROUGHT UP THE CONVERSATION OF THE FIGHT WE HAD IN THE BACK OF THE AMBULANCE. I REMEMBER TELLING YOU TO SPRAY THE #@%&@ AND THEN I SPRAYED MINE AND MAC SAYING THE PERP HAD MY GUN. WHAT FUN TIMES. ONCE THE PERP WAS CUFFED AND SECURED I REMEMBER LOOKING AT YOU AND MAC AND WE WERE ALL COVERED IN O.C. SPRAY. ORANGE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. WELL BROTHER I MISS THE CONVERSATIONS WE HAD AT THE TRUCK STOP AND TALKING SHOP. REST IN PEACE BROTHER, YOU ARE MISSED.

You've been on my mind a lot lately. Even though we had lost touch before you passed, I still feel very close to you. You will forever be in my heart! Some of my best times were with you and they will never be forgotten!
I keep your family in my prayers because I know what an emptiness they must have with you not around!

I saw this memorial in my e-mail through the FOP and I thought that I would leave a reflection. Tony, I did not know you personally, but if I did I know that we would have been best friends because yoy liked to make people laugh. Even though I did not know you you are my brother. To Tony's Mom, Dad and Family... My family prays for you all everynight and for those still serving.

Tony, I visited your grave on Dec 2nd. Alot of things have changed with this job that we worked so hard to get. Some good, and some not. But this is still the best job ever! I still look forward to going 10-41 as I know you still would. We lost another brother Ga Trooper not to long ago. I guess I'm comforted to know that your in the company of some fine gentelmen, and that you all have stories to tell. It makes me laugh to know that in this honorable fraternity of fellen Ga Troopers, your probably the center of attention. I Miss You Brother #593 BBBGGTATWED
