To a brother I have never met. Thank you for your service and the sacrifice you have made to the never ending battles of this country.

Lord knows I have chased many of suspects into the state of Georgia. There has always been a warm welcome by the sea of blue lights and sirens from Georgias finest. There has never been a time you guys were not there for me and many of my coworkers as well. I wish I could have been there for you!

Know that you will never be forgotten by your comrades.

Rest easy bro!

Thank Trooper Lumley for his courageous service to the citizens of Georgia and the cummunity in which he served. We are again reminded that the price of freedom is not free. However, we regret that this man had to pay the ultimate price. Such a loss to us all. Our thoughts are with the family, friends and coworkers. ON BEHALF OF ALL THE INSTRUCTORS, AND STAFF OF GPSTC, GOD BLESS TFC LUMLEY, AND ALL THOSE WHO SERVE THE GREAT STATE OF GEORGIA. BIG BLUE! BIG GRAY! REST EASY TROOPER

GEORGIA PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING CENTER

December 2, 2003

The Trooper stood and faced his God, which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now Trooper, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek, To my church have you been true? The Trooper squared his shoulders and said "No, I guess I ain't, because those of us who wear a badge can't always be a Saint." I've had to work most Sundays and at times my talk is rough. And sometimes I've been violent, because the streets are awfully tough. But I never took a penny, that wasn't mine to keep...though I've worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes God forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place among the people here, They never wanted me around except to calm their fear. If you've a place here for me Lord it needn't be so grand, I never expected or had too much, but if you don't...I'll understand." There was a silence all around the throne where the Saints had often trod, As the Trooper waited quietly for the judgement of his God. "Step forward now Trooper, You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell."

P.S. Watch over us carefully and keep us safe while we try to earn the respect, pride and title you so valiantly earned.
