Trooper Lumley,

On this the anniversary of your leaving us in the physical sense we pay tribute to your spirit. Tonight the Evening Watch of the Henry County Georgia Police Department’s North Precinct will hit the street in your honor. Please watch over us as we continue your fine work.

For the entire shift,

My thoughts are with your loved ones on this 3rd anniversary of your end of watch. I know the day to day struggle they face as I also walk in their shoes. Your parents as well as myself, would trade places with you and me with my son in a heartbeat if we could so, that you both could be here with your loved ones and continuing your career in law enforcement. Trooper Lumley, you are a true hero and heroes never die and you will always be remembered. Keep watch over your loved ones and wrap your wings around them to protect them and help ease their broken hearts. You will never be forgotten.

My husband graduated with Lumley. I worry everyday about him and all of our friends in Blue & Gray. I never wanted my husband to go into law enforement and although I supported him I was secretely devasted when he made it into Trooper school. But, I can tell you I have never been so proud as I was seeing him walk across that stage and get his hat. I have a new found respect for all the men and women of law enforcement. I can't imagine what losing your loved one in the line of duty must be like. My deepest sympathy to Lumley's family as we approach the holidays and the anniversary of his death.
We miss you and you will not be forgotten.

Lumley-look after these guys down here. We need all the angels we can get. Until we meet again.

Tony, just thinking about you. Your birthday is coming up this month and it is never the same. You would be 39 and you still will be in our hearts. Mom, Dad, and all the kids and myself talk about you all the time. Saw Nikki and Brooke this past weekend, man they are growing like weeds and Brooke will be 11 tomorrow. Things are still crazy on the other end and probably always will be, isn't so amazing what we sometimes misunderstand as friends. Anyway I love you and miss you brother. We are all holding strong for you.

Touy,
All of our lives have changed sooo much since you've been gone. All your brothers at Post 1 invited me to the second memorial ride, I didn't want to go because all that had taken place, I'm glad I did. I went on this past memorial ride with John, my new husband, I met him at your second memorial ride. Many people have told me that you have been MY guardian Angel! You knew I would meet John there! You told the Lord to send me His best, guess what? HE did! He has been such a blessing in my life. I miss you so much! The last ride was great. Your mom, dad, and Tim are loved sooo much by so many people. Nikki and Brooke love and miss you. I see them every now and then. They are growing up to be sooooo beautiful. I pray for them every day. GOD will take care of them! I know that you are probably keeping all the other Angels entertained but please, don't teach them your "Carlton Dance"......I love you with all my heart. It will NEVER, NEVER be the same without you. Tammy Chapman WRIGHT!

Kristen and I really miss you. Gosh, things hust are not the same. I miss your laugh, your I'm up to something smile and your joking around. You were such a clown. Now don't get me wrong, Tim is not far behind you. Now he is pretty crazy himself. Some part of the family unions just seem empty but I know that you are looking down and watching over us. Just know that you are thought of everyday. I see your picture everyday and it makes me proud to call you my cousin. I love you!!!

Tim, Uncle Bill and Aunt Sara know that we (your family) are here for you anytime that you need us. We love you guys so much.

To all our friends and family thanks for all these reflections and kind words. Believe it or not we do read all these things from time to time. We miss Tony so much and at times it is almost unbearable. It amazes me how often others seem to think of him to. You can't beat that with a stick, and I promise you he is looking down with that cocky little smirk and gloating all the while. I couldn't be more proud of any one person than I am of Tony for all the lives he touched. Mom, Dad, and myself want to thank everybody for the memories. There is not a day goes by that we don't talk about something he done or said.

Now here we are on the threshold of another annual ride in his memory and hopefully many more to come. Invite all your friends and family on the ride as this is one of our happiest times to be able to see and talk to everyone. You all know if we can't do anything else, the Lumley's can talk. The ride is 5/21/06 starting in Griffin, GA and departs at 1:30 p.m. sharp, so bring everyone and let's ride for Tony. Any questions contact me (Tim) or mom, dad, Troopers etc. and we will try to answer any questions.

Again Thanks to each and everyone, we look forward to seeing you.

Tony,

Wally, Brandon and I think about you all the time. I especially think about you all the time, every day. I miss you so much. You were such a clown. I always loved to see your smile. You could brighten up anyone's day no matter how much they were down. I wish you were here to see Brandon. He is tall and handsome and reminds me of you. I wish you were here to attend the Georgia games with him. You always told him you were proud of him and Brandon looked up to you a lot. We all love and miss you very much.

It is totally amazing that after 2 yrs we are still getting messages on this page. Tony lives on in our hearts and through all of his friends and family. I find myself everyday talking to someone about him and his crazy antics. It helps to chuckle at his foolishness and cut ups. Though it hurts inside it's good to know he made a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. That literally blows me away and I am so proud to be able to call him my brother, hero and as he called it famous. I can hear him telling me so many times, brother one day I am gonna be famous and you'll want my autograph, you'll see. Tony just know that mom, dad, and myself miss you everyday and talk about you all the time. Good and bad. We Love you and are very proud of the person and man that you became.

I Love you brother.

TO: Misty and Girls, and family of Tony Lumley. This page is a testiment to a great person -- Trooper Lumley. He shall continue to be remembered as a Hero. I pray the sting of your pain and hurt will ease with time, and the memory of Tony as a son, husband, father, brother, etc. will continue to grow with age. Even with time, this page continues to grow with messages from those who knew him, and those who appreciate the sacrafice your family has made. God bless you and keep you strong!!
