To the loved ones, friends, and brothers and sisters of the badge of Officer Dean Beattie-my heartfelt condolences. Nothing can replace your officer, but I pray that someday the memories of happy times you spent with him will replace the pain you feel today. He's in a safe place now, and I feel sure he watches over you still.
He did not lose his life-he gave it in service, and we will never forget your fallen hero.
