Reflections for Sergeant Anthony Michael "Tony" Walker

Thought about you today little brother. No particular reason. Just missing that smile I guess. So many memories from the academy - like your zero tolerance for cheese (smile) - Purple Rain - our pay day dinners with you and Norris playing bodyguards - your first born - and all our good times. We all miss you. Rest my brother, rest.. until

Hi Tony! Another year goes by... You know, the thought of Arizona is probably a great idea right about now. Would you believe that it is mid-April and we are still wearing winter clothes? Its cold and windy here...but seeing your smile helps to warm the day. All is well and we are still trying to hold things down here in gorgeous Prince George's. I miss you and just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you.

Not a day goes by without you being missed. You were and are truly amazing. Please continue to watch over us all. By the way, it's sunny and 70 in Phoenix.

My thoughts are with your loved ones on this 3rd anniversary. You have not been forgotten and are a true hero and heroes never die. Thankyou for your service to law enforcement. Continue to keep watch over your loved ones and those still out on patrol watching over the thin blue line.

Today was the FOP's annual memorial service. I can't believe it's been 2 1/2 years. Everytime I look at Anthony, I see you. He is growing into such a little man. Karmen continues to amaze me with her strength and resilience. You keep watch over them from above and we'll take care of them down here.

Tony
I have thought about you and missed you often, you were a leader not just to the borthers and sisters of the Prince George's County Police Dept. but, to all of us who got to know you. I don't go to an FOP function that I don't catch myself looking for Tony. You are missed in many ways by many people for many differant reasons, but you are always missed and remembered by all those that you touched in this world. Rest In Peace Brother

Dad the second year has gone by and missing you still hurts but worse. I need you more than ever now and I know you can see from above why. I dream of being with you everyday daddy because I have yet to heal and face this awful reality. You see I am trying to be everything you have asked of me but it is hard without you actually here. I hope you are proud and help me through my last year of high School. I love you... My fallen hero.

Not a day goes by that I don't ache from losing you. We miss you so very much. While our lives will never be the same, we know we must go own (and we know you would want us to). I know you are at peace, my love. It helps some knowing that you are watching over us as our very special "Guardian Angel".

Until we meet again! All my love,
Your wife, Karmen

Tony, things have changed since you have been gone...but even with all of the changes, we have not forgotten you. It is still hard to wrap my mind around the fact that you are gone...Still hard to accept. And now, with the loss of Gaughan earlier this week, the pain goes even deeper. I appreciate the fact that whenever I called, you always made time to speak with me personally. You were quick to call me back and always provided follow up. You always had my best interest at heart and I thank you for that. You were selfless and kind. I am honored to have known you and I thank your wife for giving you to us. I know that there were many days when you were out fighting for us officers when you were really supposed to be at home doing family things. So, a special "thank you" goes out to your family. You will never be forgotten. Rest easy and much love to you.

Tony, not a days go by that I do not think about our last conversation at the WHC. We both believed you were well on the way to healing, but GOD knew better. Rest in peace now, for your job is done and done very well. We will always look after your family.

I never knew Tony, but I have met some of his colleagues from Prince George’s County.

If Tony’s commitment and professionalism matched that of his fellow officers, then we have truly, truly lost a man we cannot afford to lose.

Tony - you are deeply and sincerely missed, and there are many that will see to it that you are never forgotten.

most people would tell you that law enforcement is a dangerous job. i never listened. I was always afriad when there was a domestic call or when i heard dispatch say use caution with someone. My husband was a little man but his size never mattered to him. He wanted to be a policeman, he wanted to make the small town we lived in a safe place for everyone. i never thought that directing traffic would be the worst thing that he could do. I just want to say to all the officers that read this "To be careful out there and watch out for other drivers and be careful so you can go home to your family" GOD BLESS
