To Greg, and his loving family, I only knew you for a short time, but you made an impact on my life and so many others. My sister said that I'm alot like you, I take that as a compliment. Why ? Because you were a man of character, a man of hope, and love. It takes a special kind of person to be in law enforcement, and you are a special person. You will always be remembered not only for what you did in your job, but also for what you did as a father, son, and friend. Your smile, your laugh. and your sense of humor, will never be forgotten. Thanks for the joy, happiness, and love you brought into my families life. I am honored , and blessed to call you my friend. Rest in peace knowing you made a difference. R.K.J.

Greg-

You are missed so much! WE will never forget you. I love all the funny times we had like playing with your new "Police Toys", Tower of Terror in Disney World, our marshmallow fights with Andi and Danielle, trips to the zoo, and all our jokes toward each other! You always found a way to aggravate someone but, they always ended up laughing. I want to THANK YOU for being in my life as well as Moms and Treys and for protecting us....you did a GREAT job! I love and miss you so much and I'll do all I can to keep your spirit alive.

Love Always,
Garyn...aka Karen

Thank you ...
for pulling me over because of speeding on tha magical night and for asking me for my number to take me out.

Thank you ...
for bringing so much fun and happiness to my life and for
being like no other man that I had ever met.

Thank you ...
for being such a great Daddy to your precious girls and for
being so "GREG" that my kids love you, without a doubt.

Thank you ...
for listening and caring about even the little things and
for sharing special times and secrets, I'll never forget.

Thank you ...
for all the crazy, fun, relaxing, and romantic trips we
shared; forever in my heart this will always count.

Thank you ...
for showing me your tender side, for sharing your feelings,
goals, and always AMAZING me with your next planned step.

Thank you for all the incredible memories, and memories held close they will be, because I suppose God needed you there with Him for something far more grand. I guess this was His next step for you, but I still can't understand.....WHY?!??!

Dear God....Please help me. I am so angry now you see. This was not supposed to happen, we had plans to grow old together......We were meant to be!!! I know I'm not to question you Dear God, but this happened all too soon for me.
So I am on my knees praying that you will ease all of our pain and show us how to cope and keep Greg's memory alive.

Thank you Greg, for loving me and
allowing me to love you so very much.
My heart aches EVERY single day,
just to feel your touch.

I LOVE YOU,
SHANNON

Though we knew you, Greg,
Too short a while,
We'll miss your pranks;
We'll miss your smile.

Without you, dear friend,
We live with sorrow.
Without your smiling face,
There'll be a hole in each tomorrow.

Your loving friends,
Ronnie and Sandra Jones

Greg was my Lt while working on Charlie shift. You could not have found a nicer, funnier person to work for. He will be sorely missed by everyone on the agency...especially those of us who worked under him on C-shift. Im sure Greg is keeping the angels laughing though. You are always in our hearts and minds Greg.

Greg was a great uncle who lost his life doing what he loved to do.

He was the happiest person i was ever around, always laughing and playing around.

I just wish you were here today to see your daughters play by play.

Your greatly missed and will never be replaced but we will never forget your smiling face.

We didn't want this to happen but now your in the safest place.

We LOVE you and will miss you but dont worry about your girls because they will stay safe.

We really do miss you I want you to l know that you as a person, father, brother, uncle, friend, and deputy you will be greatly missed.

R.I.P Uncle Greg

We LOVE you.

I convey my heartfelt condolences to Greg's family, friends and co-workers as I also grieve today for a man who's loss must resound in the hearts and souls of all DeSoto Countians. Although I no longer live in the area, I share your emptiness. I remember Greg's propensity for laughter and practical jokes. He always had some prank in the works to keep everyone upbeat and his continual smile made the hardest day more bearable. His professionalism and knowledge of the job set an example for all officers. May you continue to inspire and watch over us all from the afterlife. You'll never be forgotten LT.

Greg will be in our hearts forever. Those of us that knew him knew his sense of humor, his laugh, his casual manner, and his loyality. He could bring a smile to anyone no matter how sad or angry with his quick wit. There will now be an empty place where he once stood in our lives, that will be filled with memories for our fallen hero. I pray to God to not take any more of our brethren, but I know it will happen, so instead I pray for strength for all the families of the officers in this country to know that if thier loved one does not return home, there is a special heaven just for heroes.
