Today, the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office hosted a memorial for the 20th anniversary of your murder (Tomorrow). It was incredible to see your family, friends, and fellow law enforcement officers still remembering, still paying tribute, still coming together to mourn the loss of an irreplaceable man. We will continue to remember and tell your story to the new officers picking up where you left off. Continue to rest in peace Bruce, watch over us, guide us, protect us, and make us laugh. Miss ya bud!

I’m thankful for Bruce, and the impact he had on his younger brother, Deputy Mike Williams, who was my FTO. 15 years after Bruce’s murder, our deputies still remember that night. You were an impact player, Bruce, and Green County is a better place because of your service and love of the community, but you are sorely missed by so many.

So many years have passed and yet it seems still like yesterday. My life has taken lots of twists and turns but you still remain an encouragement, and I still introduce you to people through the stories I tell about you. The oddest things remind me of you. And sometimes I know you're looking out for me, making me better at my job. I miss you.

I see your 'bench memorial' every time we walk down to the Daychola lookout and my heart is always moved by your sacrifice. Today I wanted to know about you, so I did a little investigating. Thank you for serving your community with all you had - you truly are a hero who has laid down his life for another. I want your family to know that you are not forgotten. Someone new to the community (me!) has been moved by your story and I will pray for your family whenever we take that walk to your bench, which is quite often. May God bless and keep them close to His heart.

Listened to your funeral songs on the way home from work this morning. Lots of things have changed and been thrown at me in life. I have to say most things are for the positive. a big void though still remains with the sense of loss for you and your family for the years that were stolen that day.

you are still missed every day!!! Heroes live forever!!
