It has been 180 years, yet I am still remembering you selfless sacrifice for the safety of our country's law abiding citizens. Your service will always be remembered, and no amount of time could ever change that.

On this 178th anniversary of your death at the hands of a murderous thug, I want you to know you are never truly forgotten. So many names are added to this sad list every year and all the years that have passed makes it difficult to recall anyone in particular that we did not know personally or who came long before us, but thanks to this site, you will live on and your heroism as well as your contributions as a pioneer of American Law Enforcement will always be acknowledged.

Thank you, God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and seventy-third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
