Reflections for Police Officer Michael Christopher Waters

god Bless You Officer Waters

Rest in Peace Brother in Blue, your watch is over here on earth as we know it, but you can watch over all of us left behind.

I was fortunate enough to work with Waters on the midnight shift and to be his friend. Mike was a good friend and I always knew if I got in over my head he was going to do everything he could to get there and cover my back. I take some comfort in the fact that I rode to Officer Woods funeral in Memphis with Mike one week to the day before Mike's death and we spoke at length about this possibility. Mike knew the risks and there is no place he would rather have been then driving that patrol unit Thursday night, doing whatever was needed to catch them. His death has left a wound on his family and his brothers and sisters at the Department that may heal with time but will never be forgotten, and our lives are better for having known him.

Family and Friends, it was with such sadness when I heard of your loss. These acts of violence that cause our officers to lose their lives are examples of pure evil, no matter how he died. Our family will continue to pray for you to find a peace that is beyond your understanding. You have an extended family that will stand beside you and carry you when needed to help you through this storm. We will never forget his sacrifice.

I am Mamawolf from the chat room Support our Officers-The WolfPack Family.
We are named this because we lost a very dear chatter that was native American and full blooded Cherokee, and lost her husband in the 9/11 tragedy he was a firefighter. She was killed on the 1st of June with her k-9 officer Pepper, they were the only k-9 officers in the Pittsburg area of Pennsylvania.
Please accept our deepest sympathies and condolences to Officer Waters, his wife and his loved ones including his sisters and brothers in blue.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say.

But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from Heaven. Here I dwell with God above.

Here, there's no more tears of sadness; Here is just enternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through

God picked me up and hugged me and he said,'I welcome you.

It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone.

As for your dearest family, They'll be here later on.

I need you here badly, you're part of my plan.

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.'

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.

And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night the days chores put to flight.

God and I are closest to you....In the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.

Because you are only human they are bound to bring tears.

But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain.

Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.

If I were to tell you, you would not understand.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over.

I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you, and many hills to climb;

But together we can do it by taking one step at a time.

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you to;

That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain;

Then you can say to God at night...."My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented...that my life was worthwhile.

Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low:

Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind;

I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go...from that body to be free.

Remember you're not going...you're coming here to me.

I will always be with you!

AGAIN ALL OF OUR SYMPATHIES AND CONDOLENCES TO ALL OF OFFICER WATERS, FAMILY AND LOVED ONES
HOPEFULLY WE MAY SEE SOME OF YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTER, COME TO OUR ROOM SO WE CAN THANK THEM FOR KEEPING US SAFE 24/7 365 DAYS A YEARS SO WE CAN LAY OUR HEADS DOWN AT NIGHT AND SLEEP WITH OUT FEAR

Officer Waters, I'm sadened to know that we have lost another officer in the line of duty. But, you did what you do because you chose it. You walked the thin blue line between warrior and servant and your community is grateful for your sacrifice. May God provide your family with swift closure in their loss, and to yourself, fast winds to your next assignment in heaven, as you walk those streets under his command. A huge reward is awaiting you. In the meantime, please watch over us and the remaining peace officers that will continue the watch in your absence. Goodnight sir.

It's a tragedy to hear that we have lost yet another brave, young brother in the line of duty. My heart goes out to his personal family, his close friends, and his extended family with which he worked with. Though we may have never met, the fact that he wore a badge to serve and protect his community, tells me volumes of his integrity. May God bless your soul and help ease your family’s pain.
