IT HAS BEEN 6 YEARS TODAY DREW THAT YOU WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM US ALL AT THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE. THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY PEOPLE COME AND GO FROM THERE SINCE YOU WERE TAKEN FROM US, BUT NOBODY HAS BEEN ANYWHERE NEAR THE WAY YOU WERE. I remember seeing you at the SCCJ academy for the first time. You seemed surprised, and so was I! I think you even called me, "Sir!" It reminded me of school and when you would sneak into my room at 5:30 am to get the rifle for practice... it still cracks me up. You are missed brother, and a constant reminder of how hard I better be working.

Ironically, tonight I found old letters that you wrote to me some time ago, back in the days of Flagstaff, and you spoke through them to me. I miss you greatly and will honor you forever.

I was with the United States Attorney General last night as he gave an address at the Law Enforcement Memorial candlelight service. It reminded be of the sacrifice you made. Seeing the faces of so many survivors reminded me of the pain of your lose. You are not forgotten.
