It's been 10 years and I still feel the loss. My brothers and I were supposed to grow old together and have Sunday dinners. God has a plan for each of us. I am honored to have had you as my brother. The years we shared were special. I pray that we will meet again.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 10th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Another year without you Bubba. It doesn't get easier but we still honor you everyday. I had a very interesting conversation with one of my dispatchers yesterday who was training a new employee. With one of our deputies right in front of her, her trainer said "See this deputy right here, his only goal is to be able to go home and see his family at the end of the day"

Thank you Carrie

If roses grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Place them in my dad’s arms and tell him they’re from me. Tell him that I love and miss him, and when he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile. I love you Dad and miss you everyday. Happy Fathers Day in Heaven.

We lost you 6 years ago today. It does not seem like it has been that long ago when I got the heartbreaking news. We will never forget your sacrifice. You would be so proud of Chad. He is doing a great job!

Dad,

There isn't a day that goes by that I dont think of you, and wish you were here with me. That may be selfish because I know you are in a better place, but that doesnt stop the fact that you are missed so much and loved so much. It is so amazing to me that you are still thought of the way you are by all the people that loved you and still do. Its hard to think that 7 years have passed. You have left behind a great legacy, and I know you can look down on it and see. I love you Dad, you are my hero and always will be. Things are so hard sometimes without you, I need your help so much sometimes. It is still so strange to drive by FCSO and know that I cant just run in there and see you, or I cant just call you up and go to lunch with you (just for you to get called out and not be able to eat). I miss you Dad and I love you.

Another year without you, I feel this year especially hard. Not a day goes by when I don't think about you. I feel like you are in a way a second Daddy. The truth is that my own Daddy is not doing very well. He has cancer in every place a person can have cancer. The outlook is bleak, but at least I have the gift of trying to soak up every bit of time I can with my Daddy. I wasn't so lucky with you. As a dispatcher, I want to protect all of my guys and I let you down. I LET YOU DOWN.

I still miss him too Chad. In the line of work that I am in, the worst thing you can do is lose an officer, there is just no getting over it and there is not a day that I don't think about your Grandpa.
I tend to choke up when talking about Jimmy, but I know he would be so proud of you.

Papa,
Time goes by fast. Seems like yesterday you and I were talking about how we needed to finish that hay job as soon as you got out of that hospital. It will be seven years this year, but seems like yesterday. I miss you.......
