Darin Paul "From the Office of the FBI" said it all for us Here in Michigan
We are again lost for words, But your family will always be in our prayers.
Someday we will all be at that party That you Men and Women in blue are getting ready for us.
You are our first officer in Michigan this year that we have lost.
72 others have passed on this year alone.
When will it all stop, the killings of our officers.
.The terror is right here with our officers saftey and the pay is so small.
The Thanks are far and Few. But yet they all Die at times in the line of fire and then we Stand tall Like a Sea of Blue.
And in time they are again forgotten til the next one falls.
Cars are given to the Officers where they Blow up when hit the wrong way.
Budget Cuts and Officers have No Back Up.
Respect is all these Men and Women ask for. They Cry Too,
Our Love goes out to your family.
I have been there myself.
I know what it feels like to Hurt when you can't hurt no more You get mad and begin to Change things for the Better.
For our men and women in Blue.

So Rest Now our Brother, And MICOPS Will be here for your Family. Always. and every department around.

I am very saddened to hear of the loss of Trooper Marshall. The Michigan State Police (MSP) have always been highly regarded by me since I was a small boy. To this day, I feel a great sense of pride when I see the familiar blue Trooper Car. They were part of the reason I chose a career in law enforcement.

I have many friends who are part of MSP and I know they will feel a deep sense of loss. MSP will be in my prayers.

On behalf of the entire Detroit Chapter of the FBI Agents Association, I send my condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Trooper Marshall and I am very thankful that the people at MICOPS will be there to assist his family through this difficult and tragic situation.

Godspeed!

Darin L. Paul, Special Agent
FBI Detroit Division

Tropper Marshall put himself in harms way so that the rest of us could be safe. Heros do exist. We will always remember his sacrifice. My condolences go out to his family, friends and coworkers.

How very sad it is when anyone loses a dear loved one! As I think of the deep pain and sorrow Kevin Marshall's family is currently suffering, I cannot help but to reflect upon a couple of Scriptures.

Psalm 37:9-11 " "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth: and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace." [King James Version]
Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever." [The Living New Testament]

My heartfelt condolences to Kevin M. Marshall's entire family.
