To Kevin's family,
I am so saddened to hear of your loss. As Jess's dad said, one does not want to hear of yet another loss. Our hearts and prayers go out to your family, and know that you have the best support group, within your family, and the family of the law enforcement. May that carry you thru this time of grief.

Angela, Danielle, and Anthony, our thoughts and never ending prayers go out to you. To the Fellow Troopers in Michigan, it was our pleasure to be with you in your time of grief. At the beginning of every shift I supervise, myself and the other officers on shift dedicate the day to the memory of a fallen officer. Today, July 11, 2003 we dedicated the shift to the memory of Trooper Kevin Marshall who died just days ago.

When one law enforcement officer falls, we all stumble for a while, but we will carry on.

Trooper Marshall's sacrifice will never be forgotten.
