Hey Chuck, just sitting here in my patrol car waiting for the shift to end and thought about you. I think a lot about you brother! Thank for keeping us safe. Oh, BTW, I'm gonna go down to Flagler and make sure Michael is keeping that seat empty! Last time down I finally saw the memorial on 95, pretty impressive! Wish it never had to be placed. I also stopped at that bar at the airport and had a beer, spilled a little for ya! I'll be in touch, you'll never be forgotten!!!!

Hi Chuck - I just found this page. I am sitting here printing out a photo of your name from the wall at the Police Memorial to bring in to the Bethel PD. Keith just rode last weekend in the Police Unity Tour from NJ to DC in honor of an officer who passed this year. We are going to look up and see if anyone has ever ridden for you for next year. You are not forgotten, and never will be by our family.

Chuck
We are coming up on another anniversary, 8 years; it still feels like it just happened. I drive past that intersection and get that queasy feeling in my stomach. I know that you are in a better place looking down on us, please continue to provide all of us a safe end to our shifts and bring us home to our loved ones. Know deep in your heart that you have not been, and will not be, forgotten by me or your agency. You paid the ultimate price at the hands of a dirt bag, rest in peace my friend. Since that evening I have never allowed another officer to work with me, that seat is yours; you will always be riding with me. Rest in peace my friend, I got this one.

You are still remembered and missed. Your's was the first line of duty death and first funeral I attended after becoming a police officer. Unfortunately, I have been to a few more since. I know all you guys are together and having a great time in Heaven, and that makes it a little easier for those of us left here to hold the line. Rest easy, brother. You gave your life in service to the people of Flagler County, and the State of Florida. We will NEVER forget your sacrifice!!!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the seventh anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Chuck, It’s so hard to believe that it’s been seven years without you in our lives. With the holiday weekend approaching it is still hard to want to enjoy the 4th, and not only will we celebrate our country's independence but we will celebrate your life. You are still missed everyday. God Bless.

I was on vacation and not on duty that night but no matter where I was you could not keep me from getting home to be there. I had only talked to Chuck a few times as he was in field training but I new immediately that he was a great guy with a strong sense of humor and love of the job. The Flagler County Sheriff's Office suffered a great loss on July 5th, 2003.

You will not be forgotten!
