Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Gerald Wayne Warf, Jr.

Junebug:
I can remember you as a small boy, overprotector of your family then and that remained true until the moment GOD called you home. I will miss you at all of our family/birthday dinners. You always lightened up a room when you came in. When Davey came that light you had was brighter than ever. I can remember you holding Davey at Kevin and Dea's birthday party at Chuckie Cheese, I never saw you so happy (except for your beautiful wedding). I can also remember that oh so terrible call in the middle of the night that no one ever thinks will come. But it did, and that is a time in my life I will never forget. What is so heartwaming to me is that you contacted your loved ones the week before the accident, just to let us know the love in your heart. Now I sit and think of all the conversations we had. The love you had for your beautiful wife, Sandy and the one who places the light back into my heart and looks so much like you, Davey.
Always know that we will always love them and protect them as I know that is what you want. You know how much you mean to this family and this family will not let you down.
Until we meet again.
Love you always.

We miss you
Wendy and family

Ofc. Warf and I grew up in the same small town in KY. I recently learned of his sacrifice in our hometown paper and although I didn't know him, I still feel the loss of a brother, a fellow warrior. I praise him for his dedication to duty, and my prayers go out to his family and to the family of the other person who was killed.

When Granny told me about Officer Warf's accident my heart sank. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew him. Years have passed since I last saw him. The shy red-haired boy we called Junebug grew into a well respected officer of the law. I know your Momma was so proud! May God send comfort and peace to all your family! Rest in Peace!

To the Red Bank Police Dept. I just learned of officer Warf death and I feel so hurt that we did not sent someone or that if we did my dept. did not have tne heart to post that a TN law enforcement officer had lost his life in the line of duty. I met officer Warf during a DUI conference in Fall Creek Falls, TN. Our meeting was by chance and now that he is gone,I find myself smiling because I got the chance to meet a fine young officer who had a promising career ahead of him. I mean when we talked, he even told me about his plans to maybe go join the Chattanooga PD. I was hoping to maybe visit Red Banks PD and ride with him or Office M.Ray. My heart goes out to his family and I know that heaven is going to be a lot safer now that Officer G. Warf has joined the Police Dept up there. Some day when God calls I will get to patrol with you my friend. You will be missed by everyone whose life you touched.
