Mrs. Gallegos and family,

I wanted to express my sincere sympathy in this time of loss and to
express my respect for your husband and father and what he has stood
for through his years of service. As previously stated, words can not
express my feelings at this time. It is my prayer that you will find peace
in God. He has promised to be the husband to the widow and the father
to the fatherless. I hope the following passages of scripture will be of
some comfort to you.

2 Corinthians 5:1-10
Psalm 68:5
Psalm 146:9
Psalm 23
and finally, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

May God richly bless you and the children. May He be your strength in
this time or sorrow.

Deputy Gellagos - May the Lord comfort you, your family, your freinds and all of our brothers and sisters in the law enforcement community. Each day we go out knowing that this senseless tragedy can happen to one of us. Each day we come home thanking God we made it through another shift. God called you home early this day and we grieve for our loss of one of our best.

Thank you for your service and the example you were to all of us.

A brother paid the ultimate price today
We do not know why he had to go
We all wish that he could stay
We all hurt to see you go.

Saul was good and he was strong
He tried to protect others form wrong
He knew the risks and wore his badge with pride
Now God is with him on his final ride.

Because of an sensless act our communtiy has lost
Saul will be remembered for the job he did
For the lives he touched and the people he helped
You gave it all and paid the ultimate cost.

We are brothers and sisters. We know, we see and we understand. We mourn as our own family. We cry in silence and seek our own feelings. We ponder our fate but stand true to the job. Saul stood for all we do and fell in the line of duty. May his soul find peace and love.

I knew Saul and had worked with him in the past. Saul was a honorable, decent, hard working Deputy with integrity and morality second to none. He embodied what is best in most men and was the type of law enforcement officer we should all strive to be. My condolences to his family and the Deputies of Chelan County.
