Reflections for Corporal James Eddie Crump

God Speed, Brother.

P.O.K. Murphy
Union PD, NJ

I would just like to take this moment to express on behalf of myself and the Officers under my command how sorry we are that our community has lost two good Officers. I would also like to tell there family and freinds that as long as people strive to protect our community that they will not be forgetten.

Lt. HAWK
Nova Agency Crime Prevention Div. Florida

There are but two persons who protect the sinful human race from destroying itself. One is God's Holy Spirit. The other is the Peace Officer. Without them, we would all perish at each other's hands.

According to Romans 13.1-5...
God ordains the Peace Officer’s profession.
The Peace Officer is sent by God.
The Peace Officer is vested with God's authority to enforce the law.
A Peace Officer's badge is to be honored by us, because it is honored by God.

To the family of Corporal James Crump and the Fayette Police Department, your extended family of Law Enforcement Officers grieve with you during this time. I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around each of you and comfort you during this most difficult time.

To all my brothers and sisters, please remember the fallen officers we have lost. Remember the men and women who died trying to make this world a safer and better place for us all to live in.
May God be with you every day, please remember, we are a part of the largest family in the world and when one hurts we all hurt.

Though our badges and uniforms may be different, our mission is the same. Rest in peace with our other fallen Brothers and Sisters. We will continue the fight in your honor.

Rest easy hero / warrior.

TO THE FAMILY OF CORPORAL JAMES CRUMP MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME. HIS DEATH HURTS NOT ONLY YOUR FAMILY, BUT THE NATIONS LAW ENFORCEMENT FAMILY.
CORPORAL CRUMP YOU DID NOT DIE IN VAIN, YOU DIED A HERO! ONLY THE BRAVE PIN A STAR OR SHIELD TO THIER CHEST AND VOW TO BRING CRIMINALS TO JUSTICE AS YOU DID TODAY, FOR THAT WE THANK YOU. REST IN PEACE BROTHER, WE NOW WILL WALK YOUR BEAT ON EARTH SO YOU CAN WALK THE BEAT IN HEAVEN. YOUR SERVICE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN. PLEASE WATCH OVER YOUR BROTHER'S AND SISTER'S AS WE CONTINUE TO PROTECT AND SERVE JUSTICE TO OUR COMMUNITIES.
TO THE FAYETTE POLICE DEPARTMENT, MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL. IT WAS VERY DISTURBING TONIGHT AS I LISTENED TO MY LOCAL NEWS AND LEARNED OF YOUR DEPARTMENTS LOSS. LOSING ONE OFFICER IS EXTREMELY TOUGH, BUT LOSING TWO OFFICERS AND A DISPATCHER IS DEVASTAING.
TO THE DISPATCHER ALSO KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. MAY YOUR FAMILY KNOW THAT YOU SERVED JUST AS AN IMPORTANT ROLE AS THE OFFICER'S.
GOD BLESS THE FAYETTE ALABAMA POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police, who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premisesof all its undesirables, look with kindly and professionaleyes on your earthly force.

Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for investigation and wise judgment.

Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores, strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.

You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences with the devil, that the police officer's lot on earth is not always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.

And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all the people. Amen.

To the families and friends of both these Deputies and dispatcher, I wish you some peace knowing the person responsible for this senseless act is in custody. Myself, and co-workers will be thinking of you during this time of loss, and praying for you and your families during these trying times. Once again, this is a tragedy that will never be excused, but rest assured your fellow officers will never forget the sacrifice these deputies made today. God bless you, and be with you always.

Patrolman Tim Patrick

While I can't possibly know the depth of pain that Cpl. Crump's family, friends and co-workers are feeling right now, I hope that by saying something, you will know that you are not alone as you face the coming days.

Please be aware that many citizens understand your job to the best of their ability and mourn with you.

Take care of yourselves and each other, and please lean on our concern if you need strength.
