I'M SHOCKED TO HEAR OF SUCH A TRAGIC INCIDENT THAT OCCURRED IN MY HOME STATE OF ALABAMA. MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY AND THE FRIENDS OF THESE TWO OFFICERS THAT GAVE THE ULTIMATE GIFT OF ALL. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER.

Detective/Corporal R.L. Williams,Jr.
RMPD Rocky Mount, NC

Corporal Crump,

I mourn your loss; the loss of your life, the loss to your community, the loss to your comrades, and certainly the loss to your family. I hope that if you did not have the opportunity to know St. Michael in this cruel world that you are getting to know him in Heaven.

I am saddened that your death was the result of yet another law enforcement officer murder. I am still astonished at the evil which lurks in some men’s souls; that which causes them to commit these senseless acts of killing over insignificant events, when not confronted with self-defense.

I hope that your loss is publicly recognized and understood, and that the murderer does not become the object of sympathy as it so often happens. We too suffer the common shrift as victims of being lost in the shuffle, of being sidelined in deference to the “offender’s personal problems.” We will keep watch in your case and remind others of your sacrifice.

God bless your eternal soul.

Deputy Chris Harper
Putnam County SO, Georgia

Just looking at your picture on this site is painful. Your smile would light up all outdoors, I am praying for your family and community, the dispatcher's family too, they are surely a part of our law enforcement family and will be missed. To all who will view these comments and wonder how one deranged person could kill two cops and a dispatcher, only God knows what happened that night, and now He can hold them close, and offer peace to those left behind.

What a terrible event, a loss of two fine, veteran officers and a civilian employee. THis is another example of how no arrest is "routine". Booking situations are certainly hazardous. I am relieved that the creature that did this is in custody. He is getting a much better deal then these fine officers did.

I pray for their families, friends and colleagues and of course, the entire Fayette PD. Three deaths in a 14-officer agency is such a horrible blow. We of the law enforcement community are all hurt but by this tragedy, because we are all family of the badge. We all are one, even though we wear different uniforms and work for different agencies.

These brave people now patrol the streets of heaven and dispatch angels. God Bless and be safe.
