Thinking of Ryan today. Tomorrow will be 20 years since he was killed. Always think how much good the world has missed by him not being here.
Always remembered with fondness. His parents and sister are wonderful and strong. Just like Ryan was.

Today my class was fortunate enough to get to learn about your life. Thank you for all you did for our county. From the stories we heard, you were a great policeman and a young aspiring man. Know your spirit lives on in Chesterfield. You will not be forgotten.

Thinking of Ryan as I always do in May. He was such an exceptional young man and a wonderful role model for his friends and anyone who was lucky enough to come to know him. The world was a better place with him here.
My thoughts and prayers go to his wonderful parents and his sister. I wish his nieces would have had a chance to know him. Sending my love and hugs to Ryan's family.

Thinking of Ryan as I often do, especially in May. It has been 17 years but the memories go on. He will never be forgotten by his loving family, fellow officers and his many friends. He is remembered with lots of love and respect for the wonderful young man he was.
Sending hugs to his mom, dad and sister.

I didn't work with Officer Cappelletty but did work at CCPD several years after him but I can assure everyone they have not forgotten him. His name was heard quite a bit when I was there. Police officers are a different breed of people. It took me a long time to realize this. It's inexplicable, actually. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I really am speechless beyond that.

Here is a description of grief that perfectly encapsulates my grief for Ryan. I hope others find comfort in the analogy as I did.

Rest in peace Officer Cappelletty. Your bravery serving Virginians won't be forgotten. A young man, handsome, humane, humble and most of all heroic!
