I am so disheartened to hear of the Chief's passing. This sadly reinforces the fact that no part of our profession is routine. Heart attacks claim far too many officers.

I pray for his family, friends and colleagues. We have all lost a loved one, because we are all family of the badge, regardless of where we serve and what uniform we may wear.

He now patrols the streets of Heaven with St. Michael. God Bless and be safe out there.
