Rest in peace blue angel.

I have known Eddie for many years and this is truly a loss that has left a hole in my heart.
Eddie,
I will never forget you and will always continue to honor you.

Officer
Louisville Metro Police

Only having encountered Eddie a handful of times, I can say he will not only be missed, but completely irreplacable. His spirit and eagerness for his life and his job will never be reached or topped by anyone. His dedication to his community, family, and brothers in blue was always in excess and excellence. We didn't work in the same department, but we were brothers alike and remain such. God Bless you Eddie, and God be with your wife, son, family, and fellow officers that must now continue the journey without your physical presence. You'll always remain in our hearts and remind us why we're here and why we put on that uniform everyday. You were among the best and brightest

I have a new born daughter, served in the military and could put my self in his shoes. God have mercy on his soul....Because I couldn't. Rest easy brother

Fly high, Officer Mundo, with your new wings. You are in the company of some of Jessamine County's finest that we lost on 11/13/01. May God comfort your family, friends, department and community. Thank you for your service.

My deepest condolences to the family and the LaGrange Police
Department. It is always a sad and tragic event when an officer is taken from us.

Always remember that Eddie kept his word. He took an oath to protect and to serve the citizens of the Commonwealth and he did just that. You should be extremely proud of him.

Law enforcement officers don't slide thier vest over thier head and don thier shirt that is clad with patches, buttons and a badge for the pay. Being an officer is not what they do, but WHO they are. I did not know Eddie personally, but I would say that if he was given a choice, with the exception of saying some goodbyes, he wouldn't have changed anything.

Mrs. Mundo please know that our hearts and thoughts are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Mundo's wife, son, family, friends and co-workers. You are never alone in your pain and grief. When one of our law enforcement family members are lost, we all hurt. Psalm 55:22

Your family is in my prayers. Remember the good times, and don't
forget to talk about the wonderful memories you shared with your
husband and your son. May God bless you all at this time. As the wife
of a marine and police officer, remember you have so many people that
love you in both the USMC family and law enforcement family. Let them
comfort you. You all are in the palm of God's hands. Just let him wrap
his arms around you and surround you with his unfailing love.

You gave the ultimate sacrifice. You may be gone, but you will NEVER be forgotten. We are all family in this job, sometimes we are the only family each other has. In pace requiescat, Rest in peace! Keep a watch on the rest of us as we go on shift each day.

To the family, friends and co-workers of Eddie,

I would like to thank you for letting us borrow Eddie for the 3 years he worked in our city. We could all rest at night knowing that Officer Mundo was on the job protecting us, and we can all be assured he is in a better place now watching over all of us now. God bless you all and may he continue keep watch over the force.

Brandi, I hope your and Eddie's 2 y/o son grows up knowing what a great guy his father truly was.

Another sad event in the lives of law enforcement. My heart grieves
for you and with you. May you feel God's presence and healing in the
months and years ahead. May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ mend
your broken hearts. He is very sad, too.

I had the honor and priviledge of not only working with Officer Eddie Mundo, but also the satisfaction of watching him grow up into a fine young man, a truly happy family man, and an asset to the communities he chose to work in. In every way, Eddie embodied the spirit of a Law Enforcement Officer, from how he dealt with the public he served, to how he dealt with his family and friends. His is a legacy we can all strive to emulate, that of a fine man, doing an honorable job, to the very best of his abilities.
Eddie will never be forgotten, or left behind, by those of us who had the chance to share our chosen profession with him. His is a life that will carry on, through his families, both personal and professional, and he will be missed, greatly.
My prayers to his wife and family, may you know, in some small way, that Eddie was loved by all whose lives he touched.
