In April... We honored your sacrifice brother. Hard to believe it's been 20 years. I met with both your mom and dad. They love you endlessly Eddie. You are my guardian angel and I feel it every day I work. Can't wait to see you again Brother! We have the watch!!!

Eddie- 20 years have passed, and you are not forgotten. I miss you. I've read all the notes here and it's amazing to see all the love still here for you after all these years. You live on in the memories of us all and through your son.

I'll never forget working the radio console that night, trying to reach you after 213 called your car number 215 and got no response. Sending all the cars in the county to try to find you, thinking you were just kicking this perps butt and were too busy to answer us.. even pulling the off duty county cars on the OT detail escorting a house being moved on a huge truck in Buckner to come join the search.

Then the 911 call I took from someone reporting a car accident in front of their house on Jericho Rd.. the caller so calmly talking that I was annoyed they were 'diverting' me from my effort of trying to find you... until that screen door swung in the background followed by a scream to tell them it's a police car.

I remember all the times you let me come ride along with you when we were overstaffed at dispatch, you were so kind, funny, genuine. I remember how you would always pop up on channel 2 after stopping a car, and without calling radio to make sure we were ready to copy information as was protocol- you would just key up saying that you needed a 10-27, 10-29 on Kentucky drivers license number XXXXXXX, date of birth XXXXXX and more... then we're all scrambling to try to write it down, sometimes just using the tape to get it all... then reminding you to call radio and be acknowledged before just calling the data out next time, only to have the next time be the same as the last :)

That halloween party where a bunch of us met up at this old barn and I was upstairs making ghost like noises, and you were freaked out not knowing I was there, everyone downstairs with you playing along saying no one else was there.

There should be more stories like that with you in a present tense.

Thinking of you and your family today. Especially your parents, wife and son. 20 years without you is far too long. I’m praying for them.

Eddie.... I looked you up and read the bad news... you were such a sweet child....my daughter spent time with your family in the 80's when you were about the same age. You always looked out for her.. I knew you would become something in life.... your son will continue your legacy.

18 years... in the 18 years you have been gone your precious baby boy has now grown into an adult. One I’m so sure you would be so proud of. For some reason saying you’ve been gone 18 years hurts harder this year. My prayers are with all who are hurting a little worse on the anniversary of your death. You were one of the best and have left a hole in so many hearts. I miss you friend. You are gone but never forgotten

I miss you brother. You were my best friend and helped me in more ways than one when I needed it. I think of how you touched so many and am thankful everyday you touched mine. I retired from lmpd last August and am working for mpd now. I remember the goals we had and wonder what it would look like with you still here, my guess is we both would be working together at some small dept. doing our old “john and ponch” ways or maybe just enjoying retirement hanging by my pool with our wives and kiddos. I hope that I honor your legacy as best I can. Love and miss you bro!!

17yrs ago was a horrible day. As I get ready to retire this year or the next, I will always think of the times we had together working, off duty and how you helped me thru some rough patches in my life and help me build what I have today. Miss you brother!! You will never be forgotten!

I can't believe that it's been 17 years since you went home to our Heavenly Father. I think of you often and all the wonderful memories that we all shared! My heart aches for Brandy and Julian and your parents and friends. There isn't a day that goes by that you aren't thought of and missed by so many. Watch over us all...
