Rest in peace and always know that your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten by your law enforcement brethren.

Although I never knew you, I am instilled with the values given down thru our family. Your daughter my grandmother was an amazing woman and although you were taken from her at the tender age of 11 she shared many good memories of her daddy. I can remember sitting with her going thru picture albums and her telling stories of Mr Richards as that is what her mother called you. Mr Richards you would have been so proud of the woman your daughters both had become. Always in memory......

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace
