Reflections for Deputy Sheriff John Franklin Phillips

From one cousin to another...

“Courage is not having the strength to go on; it is going on when you don't have the strength.” Theodore Roosevelt

Deputy John Franklin Phillips was born January 8, 1889

He was a Mason and laid to rest in his home town of Glenmora. John understood and accepted his obligation of being a Deputy making the ultimate sacrifice for those depending upon him...

His headstone simply reads "He gave his life that others may live"

Rest In Peace My Brother.. Until we meet in that house not made of hands eternal in the heavens....

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
