Reflections for Deputy Sheriff William Huddleston

Two hundred and two years ago on this very day, Deputy Huddleston made the ultimate sacrifice while just doing his job and carrying out his duties. Two hundred and two years later on this very day, we say thank you while also saying his service and sacrifice will never, ever be forgotten. May he rest in peace and know his law enforcement brethren remembers.

I said a little prayer today for Deputy Huddleston and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 191rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your sacrifice was made so many years ago. Evil was, is, and will be a part of life just as goodness such as yours will also be present. Historically, I preferred a time where an execution didn't take place decades after the sentence was rendered.

Rest In Peace
