hi big brother;
we are all changed forever,we are disabled as a family. Your death is an amputation a forced removal of limbs or an organ, how does a person learn to live without a leg or an eyes?you were the back bone of the family the peace maker our tichou.my brother my life my model I do not need a special day to bring you to my minds, the days I do not think of you are very hard to find.My hearts still aches with sadness and secret tears still flow in my pillow at night and my husband always says( you will see him again if you remember god words.) What it meant to lose a brother that close like you no one will ever know. My thoughts are always with you, your place no one can fill.In life I love you dearly,in death i love you still. Our family chain is broken now and nothing seems the same. But as god calls us one by one the chain will link again may you rest in peace for doing what you truly love may god bless you

At the beginning of every shift I supervise, myself and the other officers on shift dedicate the day to the memory of a fallen officer.

Tonight March 10, 2004 we dedicated the shift to the memory of Det. James V. Nemorin and Det. Rodney J. Andrews who died in the line of duty on this date one year ago.

When one law enforcement officer falls, we all stumble for a while, but we will carry on.

Det. Andrews and Det. Nemorin's sacrifice will never be forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to Det. Nemorin's friends and family. I know how hard it is to lose a brother in blue. Just remember him in your thoughts and memories. Cherish the memories. And remember that he's still on duty, watching over us everyday that we carry on the legacy of patrolling the streets of hell, catching all the bad of the world.

Detective Chad J. Burton
East Point Police Department, GA

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumns rain
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds circled in flight
I am the soft star that shines at night
I am the flowers that bloom by day
I am the fragrance of new mown hay
I am each blade of grass that grows
I am the rush of melting snow

Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am no there, I did not die

To your family, friends, and co-workers keep this Hero's memories close and he will be with you always. His patrol assignment now is a joyous one and he will always have your backs.

Please remember the fallen officers we have lost. Remember the men and women who died trying to make this world a safer and better place for us all to live in. Thank you Detective Nemorin for a job well done. Please continue to watch over us and protect us as only you can. You will forever be at our side and in our hearts.

For those of you who still have loved ones with us please take the time to tell them how much you appreciate and care about them.

IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.

What a tragic loss of two such fine young and brave officers. We all are on the job, so we all share in the sense of loss, so sensless. Even though we live far apart and wear different badges, we are all family of the badge.

You brave guys and gals at the NYPD have had it so hard in the past 18 months. We are with you all the way.

I pray for these officers, the families and all of the NYPD.

Thanks for all you do. It is heartening to know that such fine men and women are on the job in the Big Apple.

Two brave soldiers of the homefront paid the ultimate price and their tour is over. God Bless and be safe.

I hope that the rat skells who did this meet appropriate and swift justice.

Remember: They now walk a beat in Heaven with St. Michael.
