I join with countless others in expressing our heartfelt sorrow in the passing of Officer James Branson. I never had the honor of meeting him, but he was and is my brother. He was a police officer, and that is all that matters. What a tragedy for a man to lose his life in this way. However, we know that he lives on, and he will be with each of us on patrol every day. My heart goes out to Officer Branson's wife and family during this tragic time. Please know that you will always belong to the police family and you are in our thoughts and prayers. We also continue to lift up Officer Jermaine Jackson and pray for his speedy and complete recovery. Those responsible for this tragedy will be dealt with in due time. And to our brothers and sisters in the St. Louis P.D., we love you and embrace you, today and always!! God Bless you all!!!!!!

Sgt. Scott Robinson
Metro Nashville, TN P.D.

Jim,

It was only a couple of weeks ago I talked to you on an unrelated crime scene I worked for you. I worked some of the accident scene that has now taken you from us. Both you and Jermaine have been in our prayers during both of your recovery periods, but we never thought you would have been taken from us so unexpectedly.

You will be missed by the SLPD family and our prayers are with you and your family.

God bless you.

PO Doug Eatherton
St. Louis City Police

"B,"

None of us wanted to be on that squad, but we dealt with it and became friends. After what happened to Mike I figured the rest of us where in the clear, until I was watching TV and saw that you and TITO were in an accident. The people in charge of putting the four of us together did not realize the friendships that would form or the tragedies that would effect all of us. Without realizing it you and Aaron saved my life, if I could turn back the clock I would have helped more after your accident to thank you for what you had done for me. I may not be able to turn back the clock but I can Thank You, James I will really miss you, I think about you and Mike all the time. I hope for your sake they have "Cell Phones" in heaven. I am not going to say good bye I am going to say see you one of these days, tell Mike HI from me!
